Weather Report: The storm has passed for now, prey will be easier to catch now as they are trying to warm themselves. There are clouds but not as many when the storm was over head, the slight breeze slowly drags them across the sky.

The brown and white dog laid themselves out on the rocks, warming themselves. The rain had finally let up and the summer sun was out once again. When the trespasser looked up they saw Logan not to far away "Nice weather don't you think?" They called out to the deputy.

Belle's patrol passes uneventfully.

Weather Report: Summer is in full swing! Prey is out and about trying to both prepare for winter and find themselves mates who haven't been taken during the spring. The heat is finally settling down and clouds drift lazily across the sky. Humans are coming out in large packs to camp by the nearby lakes or rivers and with them come their dogs.

"So where'd you come from?" Coleus asked Aquila gently as they made their way back to camp. The beta ducked her head, looking embarrassed. Previously, she had been talkative and friendly, so this sudden change in mood was definitely noted. "I was... actually raised by humans," she admitted bashfully. A moment later, however, she lifted her head defiantly. "But that doesn't mean I'm any less suitable—" "Hey. It's fine," Coleus assured, cutting Aquila's declaration short. "I was too. I get it." The golden retriever's eyes widened slightly in disbelief. She never would have guessed that the alpha had once lived with humans. "What were they like?" Coleus continued. Aquila frowned. "I'd really rather not talk about it..." she muttered uncomfortably. "Right. Of course. It's just my belief that no-one should be ashamed of their background," the alpha explained. "I'm not ashamed," Aquila argued, "I've just moved past it. And I'm not looking to go running back to the humans anytime soon, so can you just shut up and drop it?" she snapped. Coleus' mood flipped in an instant. He stopped walking abruptly. "Excuse me?" he said quietly, though his voice held a hidden power. Aquila backed away, cowering in shame for how she had spoken. "It was nothing. I'm sorry," she murmured, her voice almost inaudible. As soon as the words left her mouth, Coleus' friendly smile returned. "Come along, then. There's much to do," he barked cheerfully. Aquila slowly stood up, bewildered by his abrupt change in attitude, but quickly followed his lead.

Aspen hurtled out of the nursery, a panicked look on her eyes. "Essex!" She howled repeatedly. The long-haired dog poked his head out of his den, a calm look on his face. "Florence is in pain!" Aspen shrieked. Essex disappeared back into his den briefly before coming back out and followed Aspen to the nursery.

Florence was sprawled on her side in her nest, her swollen stomach rising and falling quickly as she panted. Her side rippled slightly and she let out a cry before stiffening for a moment. Essex sat next to her, resting his paw on her flank. "You'll be alright, Florence. I promise."

Chelsea and Victoria sat next to each other outside of the ironteeth den. The pale ginger and white she-dog was helping Victoria groom some of the mats out of her fur. "So were you one of those show dogs?" Chelsea asked, looking up briefly at Victoria before going back to work on a mat.

"Yes. My owners loved putting me in them." Victoria replied, a sad look in her eyes. "I wonder if they even tried to look for me." She grumbled, her tail lashing slightly.

"I'm sure they did, Victoria."

Troy looked the dog over once again, he seemed like a strong dog and could be helpful in a battle. "I have a group, it is small but it is strong and growing. We could use a dog like you, are you willing to provide strength and protection for your share of food?" Troy asked.

"Sure why not? I am kind of hungry, and most times other animals look the other way for a battle. The name is Butch." The grey Dane woofed as Troy lead the way back to the camp.

Viloa frowned at her orders, she was to once again hunt for the pack. When she went to protest though Troy growled at her and said it was her place to just hunt. That she would never have to lift a paw in battle, that's what males are for. According to him anyways. The fae had gone off again, grumbling to herself and muttering curses towards Troy and Butch because no one stood up to him. After a while though she shook her head and focused on hunting, it was hard being the only fae with a group full of brutes and only Markus didn't give her hard time, he hardly talks.

Just as she was thinking about the Shaman she saw him, he was digging at something near the base of a tree. Sure she was curious but she didn't want to talk to anyone anyways and turned to head the opposite direction.

That first meeting, in the pouring rain, had proved quite eventful. Lochlain had challenged Bear about the prey with little more then a glance and Bear had bristled. The rain had caused his fur to stick up in tiny spikes and made the large Leonberger look twice as intimidating as he already was. The Irish Wolfhound, though, barely batted an eye. Bear was a big dog but Lochlain easily had two inches on the other male. Lochlain lacked the bulk that Bear had but something about the mere size of Lochlain sparked a laugh in Bear, "You need to join my kennel. You can be my beta." The wolfhound had stared at Bear like he was stupid for several long moments, "And what makes you think I'd want to join you?" Bear curled his upper lip, "Power. Free food. Security." Lochlain had shrugged at the words, "Fine. I'll join you for now and see how I feel later."

A month later and Lochlain was surprised at how easy it was to enjoy this.. kennel.. life. Sure, it was only him, Bear and Kai but the two seemed to be easy to get along with. Bear had an ego and didn't like to be tread on while Kai was a lot like Lochlain - neither of them cared much and they both refused to take any kind of nonsense. Several times Lochlain had seen Kai snap out at Bear and he was always shocked that Bear never made a move back against the Shaman. According to Bear, Kai was a sacred being and wasn't to be challenged.

"I'm going to look for more stragglers to bring back. Go hunting." Bear barked, demanding Lochlain go hunting rather then asking. Lochlain, as usual, didn't argue and simply got up to go hunting.

"What do you think of the new fae? She is definitely more shy than Viloa, kind of reminds me of Markus just not as cold." Butch asked Troy as the patrolled the borders.

"I think she was lucky we came along when we did, she needed our protection." Troy woofed with a serious tone. "Faes are far to delicate to be on their own, sure they can hunt but there is no way they can hold their own in a fight." The alpha scoffed.

Butch didn't agree with that last bit but there was no way he was going to protest the alpha's word. "I think Shiver is kind of sweet..." the Dane trailed off. There was rustling noises ahead and the two grew quiet as they investigated further.

"It is nice to have some company for once. Troy and Butch are always patrolling the borders and I am stuck hunting alone. Sure there is Markus but he doesn't talk much and he doesn't like company either." Viloa barked at Shiver.

"Troy says that we need protection, but I wouldn't imagine anyone or thing attacking with Butch around. I also can take care of myself." The new fae chuckled "I guess it is better to let them think they are taking care of us. Though I think Butch doesn't agree to much with the Alpha." Shiver added.

"They are just strange." Viloa muttered, she wouldn't admit it but she has grown fond of the brute's attitudes and felt she needed to take care of them. "Why don't you talk around them? It's not like they will hurt you, they say they are here to 'protect us delicate faes'." she mimicked Troy's tone of voice at the last bit.

Shiver couldn't help but bark out a laugh at the imitation before shaking her head "I find Butch intimidating. And he always looks at me, it makes me nervous." Shiver admitted.

"I bet he likes you." Viloa smirked. Shiver only shook her head and smiled at the idea before returning her focus ahead of them to hunt.

leslie stared at the new pack member in awe. he seemed to be strong and determined, and her tail started wagging.
"hi, i'm leslie! you're the new beta of the lost." she said with bright eyes, her words coming out in a rush. the german shepherd looked at her with a deadpan expression and said, "i am ron. i will go hunting." leslie blinked and then rapidly nodded. "o-okay! great idea ron! i'll go patrolling while you do that." she watched him for a moment and then shook her head. "not a big talker, is he?" she murmured before leaving camp as well.

Pack of Olympic Forest
Number of Dogs: 2 female, 2 male

Pebble paced anxiously outside of his and Bramble's den. He knew his mate was alright, but he was still concerned.

Raleigh trotted by and chuckled wryly. "Calm down, Pebs. She's not due yet," she chastised.

Pebble rounded on his Alpha for a brief moment, then bounded off, muttering something about keeping the territory safe.

Raleigh walked into the den and saw Bramble carefully making a nest for her future litter.

"You need air, after that storm," Raleigh said. "Come hunting?" She proposed. Bramble nodded, and the two females took the hunting trail.

Not knowing that everyone else was gone, Rowdy left the camp in search of herbs.

Number of Dogs: 1 female | 1 male

After welcoming the new dog to the kennel, Rerria decided to take Achilles hunting. Not only would they catch themselves food, but she would be assessing his skills and deciding on wether she liked him. So far he'd been friendly but respectful, and she was happy with that. He'd asked many questions about the kennel and she'd been extremely pleased with the way his eyes lit up when she first told him after discovering him bathing in the stream. As she looked down at the smaller dog, she wondered if he was beta material. The chances are he wouldn't be, but you never know. For a while they wandered until Rerria took them to the densest part of their forest and let Achilles loose.

Bear spotted the dog before they spotted him and he sneaked up on them. When he got closer he noticed that they were injured and Bear knew he did not need to sneak up on them anymore "You are trespassing!" The large alpha barked.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't realize." The wolf hound muttered. They shifted their weight so there was none on the bad paw, it was sprained and it hurt. With a slight wince though they continued putting their weight on their paw in case they needed to fight. For now the two just stared at each other.

Bear finds a potential Ironteeth they are injured though and need elder leaves and poppy seeds.
Kai finds Elder Leaves and Cobweb.
Lochlain catches two rabbits.

"O-oh! Hi! Hey there! Yeah you!" The brown and white dog got Leslie's attention "Have you seen any humans around? We were on an outing and then next thing I know they are gone." The dog didn't want to admit that they had chased after a squirrel and lost the humans. What they didn't know was that the people planed on leaving them anyways.

Leslie found a potential Ironteeth.

Pebble paced anxiously outside of his and Bramble's den. He knew his mate was alright, but he was still concerned.

Raleigh trotted by and chuckled wryly. "Calm down, Pebs. She's not due yet," she chastised.

Pebble rounded on his Alpha for a brief moment, then bounded off, muttering something about keeping the territory safe.

Raleigh walked into the den and saw Bramble carefully making a nest for her future litter.

"You need air, after that storm," Raleigh said. "Come hunting?" She proposed. Bramble nodded, and the two females took the hunting trail.

Not knowing that everyone else was gone, Rowdy left the camp in search of herbs.

(One squirrel aka 2 servings was eaten)

Pebble ran into a potential Ironteeth.
Raleigh and Bramble caught two rabbits and a squirrel. Bramble tripped however and has a slight sprain to her front paw. Keep her off it for one moon (one post) for her to be better.
Rowdy found Raspberry Leaves and Daisy Leaves.

Trenton poked his head into the nursery, his tail tucked between his legs. He reeled back when Florence barked loudly at him. Essex slipped out of the nursery, nudging Trenton away. "It's not a good time to go in there, Trenton." Essex said. "Florence birthed five pups, but two of them died. She's extremely protective of the last three. She barely let me near the pups."

He disappeared back inside, only to return moment with a tiny black pup dangling from his jaws. Essex set it down at Trenton's paws before hurrying back inside and returning with a black pup with faint brindle markings. Trenton sniffed at the two dead pups before drawing his tongue over their ears, tears starting to well in his eyes. "Did she name any of them?"

"She named these two, but not the other three." Essex said after setting the last pup down. "These two are Columbus and Melbourne." Trenton nodded before curling his tail around the pups. He looked up to see Florence watching from the entrance to the nursery, a dead look on her face. When she saw that Trenton noticed her, Florence disappeared back into the nursery.
