Fernleaf glanced up at the rainy sky, and saw how high the sun had risen.By her estimates it was nearly sun high.With a sigh, she supposed that she should head back to camp soon. Taking another deep breath, she frowned when she caught the faint scent of another cat, one she didn't reconize.Her dark green eyes narrowed as she turned her gaze towards the direction it came from. Her silver and white tail swishing slightly, she quietly crept in its direction, careful to not alert the possible tresspasser to her pressence.

Silver didn't move from his spot on the edge of the clan territory, his tail flicking out behind him as he thought more about the group that he still knew little about. So far he had yet to meet any of them, only running into other loners as he tended to stay out of the groups way. Now he wondered what they were like though, after talking to Turtle who seemed excited upon hearing they were there.

Birchpaw glanced up at the clouded noon sky as rain began to fall more heavily. she stood up to shake some drops out of her fur and peeked inside of the warrior's den, looking for Leopardpelt, but failing to see her. "on patrol without telling me?"she hissed to herself and full-on poked her head thru the entrance, still not seeing Leopardpelt. she groaned in dismay and decided to look elsewhere. she began to tell herself possibilities: "surely not in the nursery...... maybe in the medicine den? probably not......... most likely on patrol."

" Okay. Fernleaf. Fernleaf's my mentor in place of Leopardpelt." Birchpaw said to herself with the new knowledge as she padded off to go find Fernleaf.

Quietly the silver and white she-cat crept closer to where the scent was coming from till she was at the very edge of the current scent markers, hidden under a dense bush.Crouched low enough for her long underbelly fur to touch the wet ground,she swept her dark green gaze around the area.Through the rain she could make a silver cat form and frowned.He hadn't trespassed yet but she didn't like the idea of a loner or rogue so close to the border.She knew she couldn't stay here forever though,since she still planned on doing some battle training with her apprentice later, so she decided to wait a few moments to see if it would come closer to the border. Either way she would still let Sunstar know.

A slight movement caught his attention in the undergrowth, ears perking up and mouth opening to take in the scent. With the borders so close their scent was a bit too strong to catch much from other them if it was another cat, to big to be prey. He couldn't really make out the figure, but his muscles tensed none the less as the thought of someone watching him that he couldn't really see. Although he now believed the large group of cats to be okay, he had yet to confirm it.

Flicking her silver and white tail slightly, Fernleaf's dark green gaze studied the silver figure in the rain.Standing up, she slipped quietly out from the bushes, confident in her skills to take on the stranger if need be.For the time being though, she kept her claws sheathed and waited to see what it would do, part of her hoped her pressence might scare it off.

The tortoishell tabby and white queen, led her muddy kit to a dry spot inside the nursery, near its entrance where she settled down before gestering for her daughter to come over.She licked one paw and brought it over her face before gestering towards her kit, to show her that she was going to wash her.Her warm green eyes lit up with amusement as Frostkit made a face but padded over to settle next to her.Smiling slightly she got to work on washing the mud from her daughter's white pelt.

Frostkit followed her mother into the nursery and watched her attentivly as she went through diffrent motions.She grimaced when she caught her mother's meaning, since she hated baths but padded over to her anyway.Slowly she began to fall asleep as Lilydawn's licks lulled her to sleep.

Orangepaw padded into camp ahead of her brother and his mentor, eager to put her catch on the freshkill pile.The large crow, 2 robin hatchlings and robin were really heavy and her neck was sore from having carried them. Her dark green eyes so like her aunt's glowed with satisfaction however as she placed them with the other freshkill free of mud.Then she moved aside to let the other two toms put their own catches on the pile.

Cragpaw followed his sister into the camp and put his own catch of two black birds on the pile.Then he turned to look calmly back at his mentor with a smile,"Is there anything else you want me to do today?"He asked curiously.It was only sunhigh so he wondered if his mentor had anything else planned today.

Cloudpaw nodded to her mentor before taking shelter in the apprentice den. The young shecat was in dire need of a grooming as mud caked her legs and belly fur. Once she was sitting beside her nest, Cloudpaw began grooming and wondered what the other apprentices were up to.

Hawking let out a sigh as he watched her go before beginning to eat his meal. As he munched on his piece of prey he recalled the time back at the lake, when he and Rivermist were closer. Hawkwing knew their big move had changed him and he had pushed her away and he felt guilty. However, Hawkwing has bigger ambitions now and decided to focus on finding a shecat later, at least until his main goal was achieved.

Thrushfoot laid down his kill before responding to Cragpaw, "Not until the rain lets up. You've done very well today, so you can relax for a while." The creamy warrior smiled at the apprentice before turning to look for his leader and eventually spotted Sunstar a short distance away. Thrushfoot approached the tom, bowing his head respectfully, "Sunstar, I bring news on Cragpaw and Orangepaws training progress."

Sunstar turned his attention to Thrushfoot. "Yes, how are they doing?" he asked with interest.

Rivermist padded through the rain-heavy trees, just out of sight of camp. She eventually sat down under a low hanging branch, shaded from the rain. She was just in earshot of the camp, in case Sunstar called a meeting. Flicking her tail over her paws, she curled up into a tight ball, lost in thought.
