she got up from her den and padded over to spottedstar with a serious face but then a small smile. "good morning spottedstar, how did you sleep?" she asked flicking her tail cautiously. she was on edge and that was obvious!

dapplestep awoke and looked around seeing the leader and the deputy speaking. she smiled looking over at her mate with a purr she walked over to him cuddling beside him. "good morning" she purred licking his cheek to wake him.[/size]

Duskpaw stretched in his nest, sitting up and yawning. A soft curl of fresh air came through the fern barrier in front of the medicine cat den and he could tell it was going to be a sunny day. He blinked slowly then twisted himself to lick down his fur, mussed from tossing and turning in his nest. Duskpaw prodded at the moss with a claw and frowned slightly, letting out a small sigh. He'd have to add more moss--the cold stone was rubbing against him the entire night.

F O X P A W

Foxpaw crouched into the grass, creeping up on Pineshadow. He had been out since dawn hunting, and he was growing bored of tracking prey. He would bring back the prey he had buried for the clan later--this was more important. Foxpaw drew himself forwards slowly, preparing to pounce on the warrior's tail. His whiskers twitched with anticipation as he ran through all the attacks his mentor had taught him. What better way would there be to practice his stalking skills than to stalk a seasoned warrior?

S T O R M

Storm sniffed at the edge of a marker, scrunching up her nose. She recognized the clan scent and steered clear of it, padding towards the abandoned twoleg nest to hunt instead. She wouldn't want to be caught dead crossing into clan territory and hunting. Storm lowered herself as she heard the rustling of little feet scampering inside the abandoned structure.

Hawkwing slowly opened his eyes, letting out a huge yawn. He blinked at his mate slowly and purred, stretching up to lick her cheek, "Good morning," he rumbled, running his tail along her flank, "Sleep well?"

The She cat was dozing in her den, Purring softly as she
drempt of the forest full of mice today. Just as she was about to
catch a very juicy fake dream mouse, Arid quickly jolted up as
she realized how late it was. She was supposed to Awake an Hour
ago! Arid gasped and lept out of the small den she has made and
started her daily routines. She stretched slightly as she went to
mark a small bit of territory she called, "Home".

ArrowKit was currently in the nursery, as he was supposed to be. He found it stupid that he couldn't really go anywhere because he was 'just a kit.'. He could do just fine on his own! At least, that's what he thought. It was a bit too early for him to scamper off on one of his adventures, though. He'd get caught too easily, and that's not what he was about.

The she-cat turned her head to the sound of GreyStep's voice. "Ah, yes! Good morning, GreyStep." She greeted, coming down from her current perch. "I slept well, and you?" She asked, her ears flicking. The Ocicat shifted her paws slightly,
seeming a tad bit anxious. Nothing serious was happening, but leader duties can sometimes rustle up your head.

PineShadow stopped for a moment, sensing something. He listened for a moment, narrowing his eyes before giving a small grin and continuing forwards, his tail swaying slightly as the larger cat walked on. Perhaps he could do some training today with Foxpaw....if he could find the apprentice, anyway.

Maizy yawned; the day had scarcely even begun in and already she was bored. She hated waking up this early if only for the reason that she was the only one up. The housefolk were still fast asleep, neither would leave their nests of their own volition to fill her bowl, meaning she couldn’t even distract herself with breakfast had she the inclination. Curtains remained drawn, shielding the outside from Maizy’s longing stare and erasing yet another option she could have used to alleviate this crushing sense of stagnancy.

Left to pace, pace, pace up and down the halls and stairs, meowing loudly in the dwindling hope that somebody would do something, Maizy was pleased to find her efforts paid off. Even if it had only come about after twenty minutes of near yowling for attention from her hairless food-bearer’s. The male woke up (or was shoved out by his mate, she could never tell) and said something to her in that gibberish she’d never bothered to pay all that much attention to. She knew crucial words; her name, food and out being the great sum of them and out appeared to be where she was headed.

Her sleepy-eyed owner nearly tripped over her – his fault, not hers – as he went to open the front door and Maizy took the opportunity with no further complaint. Freedom! Not actually, besides the blue collar around her neck, Maizy never really strayed far on her own. Though… if Thanatos or Arid were around~ Suppressing a giggle the painted cat jogged down the steps and made a break for the fence. Up, over and into the bushes she sped, reveling in the wind swiping at her fur as she ran a route she knew well enough that the fear of getting lost didn't weigh as heavily. Arid usually made her den somewhere on this side of the wooded area and this wouldn't be the first time Maizy had dug her up to meet the sun. The hovel she came across was immediately invaded, leaves and forest soil spraying noisily in her wake. "Morning, Arid~!"

Hawkwing groomed Dapplestep for a moment before moving onto his own fur. He yawned again and stood up,
stretching out his back. He licked Dapplestep affectionately behind the ear and padded outside, squinting against the sudden bright light. He was quietly purring as he padded over to the freshkill pile, wondering if he had time to enjoy a meal with his mate before he was sent out to hunt or on patrol.

Foxpaw drew himself forwards slowly and placed his weight on his hind legs, winding up to pounce on Pineshadow.
He struggled to keep his tail still as he pricked his ears, following Pineshadow closely. He took a deep breath in and launched himself with a yowl, making sure to keep his claws sheathed as he landed square on the shoulders of the warrior.

Duskpaw slowly pushed out from between the ferns and squinted in the sunlight, looking around the clearing. The cats he saw were fuzzy and there was an opaque film across everything he saw but he could identify them through scent. He sat down at the entrance, wrapping his tail around his paws and basked in the sunlight, enjoying the moment of quiet before cats began approaching him.

S T O R M

Storm blinked as her eyes adjusted to the darkness in the abandoned structure and pricked her ears, hearing the small life in the corner of the room. She slowly balanced herself and flew at the prey, pinning it under her claws. Storm bit through the neck of the mouse and waited for the mouse to stop struggling. She sat down and bent her head, giving thanks for the life--one habit that hadn't disappeared since her warrior days. Storm settled down to eat, crunching the small bones between her teeth.

back. Arid raked her claws on a near by oak tree,
And gave a sharp glance to Maisy. "Skipping your

Due to his large size and build, Foxpaw's pounce didn't affect him so much....but he didn't want the smaller cat to be discourage. PineShadow let out a small 'yelp' and made himself go down. "Oh, Foxpaw!" He gasped, giving a small smile to the apprentice. "You got me! What great pounce!" he prasied, nodding his head at the smaller cat.

Foxpaw looked up at Smudgepelt and let out a small purr, "Pineshadow's great to put up with me," he said, amusement tinging his voice, "I don't think Darkcreek's awake yet and hardly anyone likes me pouncing on them this early."
