Yes, I know that! Thanks!
Now, what is the difference between a normal tabby and a... Something else tabby? (whoops don't remember the name)
a mackerel?
classic tabbies have swirly patterns of stripes, like marbled cats, while mackerel tabbies are the straight-line tiger-stripe kitties.

@Arya: There are several types of tabby! Mackerel tabby is the "fishbones" or "tiger striping" pattern and is dominant over classic/blotched tabby, which is characterized by the swirls instead of stripes. Spotted tabby is dominant over both and is either a broken-up mackerel tabby pattern or a broken-up classic tabby pattern. Ticked tabby is dominant over all the other types and is the "salt-and-pepper" type of tabby. For example, here is Honeystar, a mackerel tabby vs Acornstream, a ticked tabby.

@Arya
Mackerel - the usual tabby pattern. Thin stripes (McMc)
Classic tabby - Thick swirly stripes that usually has a "bulls eye" dot in the middle that all the stripes swirl around. (mcmc)
Spotted tabby - Small spots throughout the coat. Thin stripes on the face and legs. Egyptian Mau's have this pattern. (????)
Ticked tabby - Small tiny ticks in the fur w/ stripes on the face and legs. Found in Abyssinian's and Somali's. (????)

@everyone: Sparrowminder from Tumblr came up with an awesome coat calculator that you might like to use. It's here and covers all genes except for spotted tabby.
@Arya: It really depends on how into genetics you are! I personally find it quite fun to figure this stuff out (especially for my cats from Forestclan + fanfictions). You'll get the hang of it eventually!

@Kat
Aw sorry!! I get most of what is being said since I've had previous genetics background. I guess it might not be as easy for beginners.
I've heard Messy beast does a good job at explaining them??
I didn't use it to start out though. Lemme try to find my sites I used.
Link - Explains the base minimum and explains many genetic laws I guess.
Link - This is where I learned ALOT, about genetics. It was my go-to website.
@Simon
OMG!! AAAAH!! I used that once!! It was on another website and was taken down. This is thee exact thing I used!
Tysm Simon!! I used that to predict kittens and help me when I was unsure. I can still do it without the generator though!
And actually it does cover Spotted tabbies.

@cat genetics
I'm so proud; I finally know what you guys are talking about! *single tear* I wrote an essay on cat genetics last week and man was it a blast. White spotting and dilutes and modifying genes oh my! For once in my life I actually feel on the ball...now to go work out how eye color and bone structures inherit haha!

@Winter: No problem! I can also do the stuff without the calculator but I'm lazy. XD
