Random tiny writing.

She glanced around the room. Everything was too dark, too silent, too lifeless. She looked to the other bunk, focusing on the sleeping form of Sarah, watching the rise and fall of her chest, holding on to the sight of motion like a lifeline.

Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now

I couldn't breathe. The world was spinning. I needed to get out. Sarah edged closer grasping her hand.
"Hey, it's okay," she said, her eyes shining with compassion. A lone tear ran done my face. She wrapped her arms around me tighter than anyone ever had before. I was safe. She had me.
