Thrushpaw didn't respond. No, she didn't, but she would do it because she knew she had to. "Who else is coming?" she said at last.

Stumpyflower grunted, sweeping her tail around the withered herb pile. Wasted herbs, by some careless kit coming in here, no doubt. She gave it one final sniff, finding a couple salvageable juniper berries before shoving the pile into dirtplace outside. She pushed it into an outer border, so no clueless kitten would try to eat it because of the sweetish scent of catmint inside. Stumpyflower exited dirtplace and padded toward the fresh-kill pile, where she fished out a plump mouse for herself. She paused and surveyed the camp, watching [whoever] leave the camp. She figured he had gone to hunt, since typically there was more than one cat going to patrol borders.

Cloudedeye flicked her friend's flank with her tail in a joking manner when she heard her talk about being a killjoy. Perhaps she was sometimes, but she did know that, most of the time, she was right.

"Okay," Poofkit whispered, nodding. She crawled a little bit away and crouched. She shimmied back towards the two and waggled her haunches. Instead of Cloudedeye, she pounced onto Mooncatcher, squealing, "I GOT YOU!!"

Tuftkit nodded, diving back into the pile of food. "He'll never see me coming! I'll be leader by tomorrow!"

With a yawn, Sprinkle rolled over, falling out of his nest. He grunted, trying to roll back over again, but squashing his paw beneath his body, twisting it. He yowled in pain, hobbling over towards the wall but falling. Fang - Fang, he had to find Fang because Fang would help. He had to. Slowly, with tears streaming down his face, he made his way toward the source of his sibling's smell. He got into the clearing and saw Sorrowstep. His eyes widened and a grin grew on his face. "MOMMY! You're not dead!" he cried, hobbling over towards her and shoving his face into her fur. "Mommy, I missed you so much!"

Cometshadow looked at Thrushpaw,"Rainysplash, Brindleclaw, and myself." He replied.

Moonpaw slowly looked at Quailfeather,"Y-Yeah......?" She urged to queen to go on.

Wildkit eventually fell fast asleep, curled up close to Honeykit.

She had known what it was like to lose someone. She was named after it for StarClan's sake. But it didn't make it hurt any less to know these kits had lost someone too..

The clan's still... small.. but we could use all the patrols we can get. We don't want the loners around here to think we're weak and can't defend our territory." he said.

Sorrowstep sat down in front of the kit, curling her tail around him "Sometimes.. cats leave us way before we're ready to lose them.. When they're not suppose to.. And it's the worst feeling in the world.." she said sadly. "And I understand that it's the worst kind of pain you can feel. But she's still watching over you. Everyone we lose never truly leaves us. Instead they join the cats in the stars and they watch over and protect us from there. And though we can't be with them.. we can take comfort in knowing they're still looking out for us and they still love us." she said.
