there was a time when we used to be the happy ones - we
were the ones who could smile and laugh all day, who neve
er seemed to have a care in the world. we never got sad, n
o matter what happened. but then something changed and
we couldn't stop being sad or angry anymore. something in
our minds changed and we were not the perfect kids we ha
d been. were we even ourselves at all anymore? suddenly w
e were always the problem, always the one at fault. we be
came burdens then - and we could not stand to be that any
more. so we left - we left in the night, in droves, to becom
e our own. but we all found it was hard to be alone - a bur
den even we could not bare. so we, the changeling childre
n, are our own force now. and we are our own together.
