Why they have the life preserver: Because when they were young, he was at the beach with his family and he was trying to surf, but the water pulled him 3 feet away from the shore and he was not happy about it, he made a huge deal and started screaming for nothing, he was standing right next to the shore, but he wanted someone to help him out of the water, so from that day forth, he didn't trust the ocean and he needs to have his floater or he won't go anywhere near the water. :p

Why they have the life preserver:

Tyrones and his family went to the beach. His family way huge! 3 brothers and 4 sister's, phew! After that day he only had 2 brothers and 4 sister's. Yes, his little brother died drowning from a dare he gave. His dare was to "swim where u can touch", he fell under the water into a current and drowned. After that day he hated the ocean.
Another time in the pool, he would dive for leaves or little pool toys. One day he stayed under to long and blacked out. Apperently he died that day, but only to be revived from the ambulance.
To this day he is terrified of the ocean and water for it could take a life so easily.

Why they have the life preserver:

Blasted kids and their stupid dares. Evon thought, watching all the young sparoks as they laughed with each other near the water. He could guess what they were saying to each other, since every single time they come here they just had to play truth or dare. And the dare always had to be something stupid like diving or swimming farthest or holding breath longest or whoever can go out into the large waves. Evon watched each one of them like a hawk, waiting for a sparok to slip up and cry for help. It was always how these things ended, and as annoyed as he was towards these young, dumb kits, he always jumped in after them to save them, so much so that he decided to keep a life preserver around his neck just for the convenience. He was already known as the grumpy lifesaver, with that pretty much permanent growl on his lips, so he might as well complete the picture.

Why they have the life preserver: Not for any reason in particular. He actually just wears it to hide his hideous scarf tan line. You see Lagoon loves, and i mean he really loves the sun. He's in it as long as it's out and he is right there, standing outside once it comes up in the morning and once it sets at dawn. But during winter they hadn't had too many cloudy days and because of that fact he played, sat and took naps outside in nothing but a scarf. Why just a scarf? Because he wanted to absorb all of the suns beautiful rays but he was not a winter Sparok, therefore he didn't want to freeze so his scarfs kept him warm. But, if only he had known what a terrible tan he would present during the summer days...

Maybe he should just stick to staying inside during the winter months..

( Not too much of a bad day at the beach, just a terrible tan line and embarrassing giggles from other patrons )
