𝖇𝖆𝖈𝖐𝖌𝖗𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖉:
just like every other mermaid in the tribe, she has no story of birth. she simply came to be, from the ocean, one day. it was actually during a great storm, and for a while the other mermaids thought that meant she was lucky, or had some divine purpose to fulfill. ha. this idea was quickly dropped once the other tribe members realized the kind of creature that she was. it has been assumed that she was created not as entirely mermaid, for there are strange things that happen. when she gets in a fit of rage, or is overtaken by a feeding frenzy, her typically blue-gray eyes change to become completely white, no iris no pupil, just devoid of everything. her nails lengthen and sharpen like claws (xXx), and her teeth lengthen and sharpen to points (xXx).
no one gets in a fight with her without leaving with some fresh scars.
she has a high, soprano one voice, and has lead more than her fair share of men to their deaths; at times, she does it simply for fun, not food.

Katya exists to discover new things. She's an adventurer at heart, and
is bound determined to discover new things every day. She likes to consider
herself to be well educated, as she spent many years traveling the world
once her parents had passed, before finally returning to her tribe.

Upon first glance, Katya appears innocent, harmless even. Her deep grey
eyes reflect the colors around her, and her fire colored hair lend her
a very youthful appearance. Do not let this fool you though, while Katya
will not attack without provocation, once you give her reason to, she won't
hesitate in dragging you to the depths of the ocean. Her end goal is to
discover more about humans, but as her parents were killed by fishermen,
Katya knows better than to be fooled by their charms.

Towards other mermaids, Katya often acts as a big sister, guiding and trying
to protect them at all costs. She has a heart of gold, and will encourage
her friend's passions, whilst doing what she can to ensure their safety. The
downside to this is her blunt honesty. If Katya doesn't think it's a good idea,
she won't hesitate to tell you. Do understand though, she's just doing what
she can to protect the tribe. Family comes above anything else to Katya.
She is fiercely loyal, and will never turn her back on a mermaid in need-
humans are another matter completely.

If you do find yourself falling for the delicate mermaid, take caution, for
her heart has never been captured by another, instead belonging to her
curiosity. If you do manage to catch her eye, take it as a large compliment,
as Katya could only be fascinated by someone with many stories to tell.
As far as deep romance goes, it's completely uncharted territory.

Aside from everything, Katya is an excellent hunter and protector of the
tribe. She's skilled in subduing humans, and uses her voice to lure them
into security before drowning them swiftly and without trouble. She
doesn't prefer to wrestle with her prey, wanting all deaths to be swift
and as humane as possible- a trait you can blame her code of honor for.
