Across the rocky oceans, cradled by the earth's powerful magic, lives a young, thriving country. The kingdom of Kalokairi, despite its rough start, is a respected territory that grows more and more with each day. Villagers of every trade work alongside their friends and families to support themselves. The economy steadily grows as the kingdom flourishes again from their recent, lengthy depression. As the local communities reach the height of their excitement, the Royal Family decides that a traditional Summer Solstice Celebration is well deserved after all that has happened in recent times. Due to the kingdom's struggling, the festival they would normally have annually has been canceled year after year-- but no, not this year. This new-found peace would ensure a smooth summer and a bountiful harvest.

Everyone was confident that that was the case, until the attacks began. Strange, distorted figures began appearing in random places by the village borders. They showed hostility, but they were at least manageable. Soon though, larger; stronger demons similar to the first few became more frequent. Seemingly overnight they invaded the villages and sapped away the villagers' life energy. Kalons once beaming with life became fragile and weak; unable to perform their roles, and their health in critical condition. The Solstice could not be celebrated, no way; not like this-- and it only grew worse. This dark force seeped all the way up to the head of the Kingdom, the Royal Palace, planting its roots and creating a main source for the demons to travel through and invade. Ever since then, the kalons of this land have lived in a prison governed by the dark force that swallowed the sky, and it feeds on the life energy of the kalons living below. You, my friend, you must embark on a quest to save our kingdom. Prophecy tells of powerful crystals from each element: Wind, Earth, Fire, and Water; that are located in their respected regions. Retrieve them and bring together the ultimate weapon that will unlock the chains that the Darkness has forced upon us. You are our only hope.

hello ! this is going to be an odd thread since,, it'll be about the kalon rpg event, but the stories (and mayb images) aren't always going to be what i submitted for the event. if anything, most of it will be rewritten stories for better fluidity + just bc i want to chance the way the stories are formatted (but at the v least i will be linking my original stories !!). im also going to be including profiles for my party !! so ?? yea man i dunno, here u go ! |'D

these stats all have a max, determined by a character's class + level
( also pls note, sanity will be a less used stat. if anything, it'll more
so take place in the less child friendly versions of these stories
that i plan on writing, as it's p angsty pshh )

this isn't exactly the same for every character and stat, but it's vaguely like:
1-10 points is like deathly low in a stat
11-20 points is rlly low
21-30 is like p low but ur ok for now
31-40,, low end but not a great worry
n im not describing the rest bc any higher and it's all like "yea u good m8"

lastly ! different stats raise or lower at different rates,
and it also varies by character. this stuff is obviously getting hella
complicated, so it's not an exact science; when writing i just keep
a certain idea of "this goes down this sorta fast compared to that"
in mind so hopefully things aren't ?? crazy

ｂａｃｋｓｔｏｒｙ
onion, since birth, has been fascinated with the world. as a kid and teenager, he used to travel all over the place, and he learned much of the land because of it. he eventually chose to live the life of a simple farmer though, in the outskirts of kalokairi. when dark times struck the kingdom, onion received a letter, stating that he was to join a party and search for the four crystals. he doesn't understand why, of all people, he was chosen for this job. lis later deemed him the party's 'mage,' as well as the guide. onion doesn't actually know any magic, so his role is mostly for show. he's practiced some magical alchemy, though...?

lis has always wanted to be a hero. she's trained since she was a little kid, and these days, she's very strong and skilled with a sword! she never stops moving, as she's always looking for some sort of quest to complete (hopefully, one that includes some violence!). not only is she a high leveled knight, but her excitable nature is also hard to beat. when kalokairi announced they were looking for heroes to save the kingdom, lis was one of the first to volunteer. completing this quest will make her name known throughout the lands! when she met her party, she proclaimed herself leader (well, she is the oldest?), and has been giving orders ever since.

ｂａｃｋｓｔｏｒｙ
reuben is sort of an uninteresting character, in terms of background. he's just some kid who's lived in kalokairi his whole life. but personality-wise? reuben is whack. more than anything, he lives to have fun, regardless of how he'll get it. in this sense, he's very dangerous, because good and evil are concepts he doesn't abide by. if something interests him, he'll go for it, whether it's conventionally 'good' or 'bad'. fortunately, kalokairi sending our heroes is a good thing. reuben signed up because everyone in town was lethargic and boring because of the apparent curse. he's hunted animals before, so he's the archer in his party.
