The June cat litter was specifically for the General Helpers. The regular staff litter is in September, which is the one that the site staff participates in (as GHs are not considered staff, just volunteers). The staff litter will still happen, it always does ^^

to anyone:
if you could add one species to the pets, what would it be?

First choice would be either crocodile or alligator (or similar species like the caiman). But beyond that there are a lot of reptiles I'd love to see, especially snakes or geckos.

I do, I currently work a part-time job overnights stocking shelves at walmart. I'm a full-time student in college and don't want to be up to my ears in debt c':

I'm kinda interested in being a general helper. How often is the thing up? I forgot what it's called, oops And when do you usually accept?

If you mean applications, GH applications are usually about once a year, but there was a 2-year gap between this opening that just happened and the last one. Generally openings will happen when new people are needed, some of the GHs move on to other positions and create a need for some new people. As for how long it can take to be accepted, usually apps stay open for a couple weeks, and then staff have to go through all the apps and make decisions on who they want. There tend to be a lot of GH apps because the restrictions are looser than other positions, so going through apps generally take a good while, at least a couple weeks.

If you are interested in GH, it might be a while before apps open again, but its a good opportunity to round out your CS knowledge. A lot of what we do is just answering basic questions about CS and how it works. If you know your weak in a certain area, you could work on increasing your knowledge there. The help board is a bit competitive, but even if you don't answer questions there, hanging out to see what kind of questions are made, and whether you knew the answer is good practice. Rarities and trade knowledge is always a nice plus as well, though not required. Other than that, I'd say keep out of trouble and don't get involved in drama. GHs are supposed to be the friendly, helpful face of CS ^^

This horse looks so sloppy and bland to me, I wish I could revamp its design XD.
