Elfie was sitting at the bar when she witnessed the whole thing happen, with Bri's ring and all, which caused her to let out a small laugh but at the same time, it wasn't very funny. Kachel just let out a sigh and watched his buddy freak out before shaking his head. His sister, Elfie, had been sitting there the whole time and she didn't even help Briceus with his first crisis.
"Don't worry, I've got it." Elfie said with confidence as a smile appeared on her face. Her specialty had always been bargaining and making offers, and she knew exactly what this little weasel wanted.
While Elfie was coming up with a plan, Kachel tried to calm Briceus down since he was freaking out in front of this dear crush of his,
"Hey, Bri. Come on, calm down. Everything will be okay, you're in good hands," He let out a small chuckle and continued to talk,
"Elfie is a way better thief than that dang weasel. She definitely knows how to get your ring back." But there was one problem, the weasel had disappeared.
Wait.. is that scurrying I hear? He thought, glancing around at the floor while biting at his lip, but before he could say anything, Elfie spoke first,
"There it is, there's the thief." She said, standing herself up as she took a golden coin out of her pocket, but then she she stopped,
"I could probably lure this thing out with some rubber if anyone has anything?" Someone came up and handed her a pencil eraser and she nodded with a small sigh, giving her thanks.
This'll work. As she crouched down, she could hear the pitter-patter of the little weasel's feet. First its head popped out when Elfie held out the golden coin, and then it's little neck and paws, but then the weasel stopped in its tracks and let out a little 'dook' before returning back to the small hole that they had in the wall. Of course it was a mouse hole, but nobody seemed to mind since it had been vacant forever. Just then, a man came over and crouched down next to Elfie,
"I'm sorry! He's mine!! He can't help himself when he steals, so I'll get your ring back as soon as I can catch him!" The unknown man spoke, but without any luck, even the owner of the little weasel couldn't lure it out. But, soon enough, the little weasel crawled out and Elfie had to act quickly when she snatched it out of its hands, but she handed over the golden coin anyway,
"Good doing business with you." The female spoke and stood herself up, handing the ring over to Briceus.
"Thank you so much, darling! How can I ever repay you!?"
