Chivekit tried to remember what Lavenderleaf had told her about StarClan. "you mean he's with Finchpelt and Lichendrop?" she asked innocently.

Slowly, the young warrior got up. Admittedly, she had slept in, but being a warrior instead of an apprentice, it couldn't have been that bad. She got up, still tired, but voices outside the den woke her up quickly. "What? Did you just say.. Another death? Tiredness now replaced with dread, she dropped to her paws. "Someone is responsible!", she shrieked, unable to contain it any longer. The she-cat had tried, oh she tried, to think of it as some accidents, but this had pushed it over the edge. "There's a murderer in this Clan! StarClan has abandoned us! They send a traitor to kill us all!" Shaking in pain and fury, she glared at them all. "I'll figure out who did this!"

Rosetail buries her face in her paws. Her mate, the only thing worth living for, is gone. She still has her daughters, of course, but they're still spritely warriors. They have time, and she has...

Lavenderleaf paused in her steps on the way out of camp to gather more herbs. Starclan only knew how many more lavender petals or mint leaves they'd need with the amount of cats dropping all around them.
Her assistance however would be needed elsewhere and not outside of camp gathering the sweet smelling burial herbs. "Yes, Lilystar? Lavenderleaf asked in confusing stepping into the elders den. The scent hit her before her eyes had time to register. Death.

Lavenderleaf's face morphed solemnly and she stepped around grieving cats to get to the body. She confirmed what she already knew,
"Dead. Gone cold, likely died in his sleep." Lavenderleaf stepped back tears welling in her eyes. "Foxfall," She called back the tom who was trying to comfort Rosetail as she left the den. "I need lavender and mint. Finding Blazenose will be helpful too. Might as well prepare for the burial now. I-I don't think we should let him sit here for too long."

Poor Rosetail... to have your mate pass away -- right beside you no less...

Foxfall looked up and nodded, padding to the medicine cat den. Poking his russet head in, the tom called out for Blazenose. "Blazenose! Lavenderleaf sent me to get.. lavender and mint. I-It's Sweetnose. He's dead."

Silverkit once more woke up again to what seemed to be a restless morning. She heard her sister's voice talking with what seemed to be Rosetail and Bramblingflower, and quickly sat up. "It's Rosetail! Rosetail! Are you here to tell us a story?" the kit asked happily, though suddenly sensing that the mood seemed down she immediately became quiet. Silverkit watched as Rosetail buried her face in her paws most likely out of sadness of the sort. "Whats going on?" She asked in a quieter voice looking over at her sister and the cats around her, waiting for an answer.

chivekit turner to her sister and replied, "Silverkit, Sweetnose went to visit Finchpelt and Lichendrop!" She blinked, looking up at the two older cats.

bramblingflower smiled gently at the two kittens, "That's right, Chivekit." the queen paused for a moment before turning towards silverkit, "Rosetail's had a long day, okay? Let's leave her be. If you'd like, I could tell you a story, though. What kind of story would you like to hear?"

Silverkit listened and quickly looked over to Bramblingflower who asked her what kind of story she wanted to hear about. "Tell me any story Brambling! All of your stories are cool!" The kit squealed, once more becoming happy. I wonder where Sweetnose went with Finchpelt and Lichendrop. Maybe they went hunting... the small kit thought in her head quietly,
quickly looking over at the queen with excitement.
