Adal watched quietly as Sierra played with Locust. Moving her attention away from the pups she slowly walked into the woods. Boredly she looked around perking her ears up every now and then and listening for any signs. She was near the river, but she did not want to go into the water because she hated getting her fur wet. She sniffed the air for a moment and then looked around for something to do.

Locust just gave a snort. It seemed like a silly thing to do in a pack, as if the Alpha didn't trust his pack mates. And it wasn't really spying if you knew they where there and listening. "Hey, wanna go explore the territory? I think we could catch a rabbit or something. It can't be that hard."

"No problem! I'm destined to be a tracker my friend, whether for hunting or fighting!" This was the only thing the young male was sure about; his nose and ears where as sharp as a mouse's. His eyesight however, was poor, but when his target was as white as the surrounding territory it did not matter much. He gave her a few seconds head start before bounding off in the direction she had gone.

Locust swivelled his ears and narrowed his eyes. He had heard something, a giggle, and then a shuffle of snow. Just soft and quite faint. It could be Sierra or a rabbit, for the steps seemed carefully thought out and lightly paced, since the crunch was very light. Giving a sniff, all he could scent was snow, the faint trace of wolf and some old rotting deer meat. His hackles were up, as was his guard, but there was nothing more he could do other than wait.

Locust snarled and twisted over, but by that time she was gone. But she had been foolish. Now he had her scent fresh on his pelt. Pressing his nose to the ground, he began to sniff, coming to a gathering of rabbit holes, an abandoned warren. The faint scent of Sierra came from them, but unable to tell which one over the scent of rabbit, the grey pup began to investigate each of them, kicking in snow as he went past.

Sierra slipped from the den quickly and hid behind a tree.. She was going to lead him all over the forest before he caught her.. She saw a large fox and whimpered.. She wasn't bigger then a fox yet and it could, and would, carry her off if it could catch her.. She lowered her self to the ground and pressed her ears back. "Locust.." She whispered but she was kinda far from him and she had to hide. She tried to sneak off but the fox saw her and sprang after her.. She yelped and started to run.. She couldn't fly just yet because her wings were so small but she could run..
