i just got home from a local concert/festival
most of the bands were small alt. ones, with the biggest being coin and bishop briggs
even though it was 100-110+ degrees the whole time, seeing live music is always so nice

For like the first time in 3 weeks or so, I slept the whole night without waking up once? No nightmares or anything, just it was perfect ^_^

Plus getting rained on unexpectedly was pretty fun, there wasn't any drizzle or anything, just whoosh ya know? ^_^

THE BANDSTAND ALBUM CAME OUT TODAY!!!!!!

Oh wow.. today&yesterday were two of the best days ever holy crAp

so, I bought tickets to go to VidCon back in December, and it finally came time (June 21st-23rd) and all day yesterday I was seeing the people I look up to online and it's just amazing to see someone that you see through a screen all the time in real life. First I got to see Markiplier talk about deep things, and I got to meet him last year. Then I met CrankThatFrank, and he was so freaking sweet and he liked my art that I gave him, and we emo dabbed (reference). Then later I freaking got to meet Smosh (rip) aka my childhood condensed into one group of people, and they were all super kind even though we were a little rushed. THEN I met Social Repose (or Richie) and he was ALSo super freaking nice and he signed my sketchbook. Then I had a live storytime with dan and phil and they were being awkward beans and that was really fun. Then this morning I met the Gabbie Show and she also liked my hair and she's super cool with her fans and I met some really awesome people when I was waiting in line. Then I saw Richie again and asked if I could get another pic since my last one was blurry (myname'sblurryfaceand- i'llgohome). And then I watched Mark, Freddie Wong, Philip DeFranco, and ijustine play a million dollars but live and my stomach hurt from laughing so hard... and now I'm here, reflecting back on the memories I've made at VidCon this year <3

[XIII DEATH]

So I just realized that coloring not only calms me down, but it helps me to process and get through thoughts and emotions. That being so, I had a grand idea. Every time I'm struggling with a loop of bad thoughts and feelings, I will color a picture. These have lots of lines, so by the time I'm finished with it, I've definitely finished processing my thoughts/emotions. Then, I can jot down a brief sentence on the paper, explaining what the negative situation was. Not only does that remind me of what I had worked through in a pleasant way, but it successfully turns the awfulness into a work of art. For everything I have trouble handling, there shall be a colorful, beautiful picture. (This method will be called CBT--coloring book therapy. Badumtss.)

I'm suddenly learning lots of new and extremely useful ways of coping with things. I'm gaining the self-control to avoid doing what makes me feel worse and to do what I know will help me, even if I don't want to. I am in a bad place, but I'm making it a good place. Even when things aren't okay, they will be okay. I think that's it. That's what made my day, and may it make all my future days.
