I own three dogs. Two purebred Australian Cattle dogs and one rescue pit bull mix. The ACDs are about four, Wren, and Rebel, six, and one of them is rather small because she was a runt.
The pit bull, Tommy, is about a year old now.

My two ACDs are extremely aggressive towards Tommy and have attacked, causing him to bleed several times in several places.
He is a very sweet and loving dog and I don't see why they do this.

He mostly ignores them, except on the uncommon occasion when he wants to play.
Nothing happens when he wants to play, it's only when he's standing off to the side and my mom just got home/is leaving.

I don't know what to do. They can't keep hurting him like this because he doesn't try to fight back. At all.

What should I do?

The easiest and safest thing to do would be to keep the ACDs and Tommy separated when your mom is leaving/arriving as that seems to be a trigger for them. Since blood has already been drawn I would highly recommend working with a dog trainer/behaviorist that uses only positive reinforcement training to help socialize them to each other and use conterconditiong to change their mindset about attacking Tommy. Work with each ACD and Tommy separately before trying to work them together. And never leave either of them with Tommy unsupervised.

that depends on some things.....
is it really only when your mother (or your Family and you?) goes away or comes back?

....i know...ok..know is to big a word...on a way- trail, i sometimes go, there is a house a bit away from town they have some 2 or 3crazy Dogs....i think mali or such...when one goes on the trail around the house with a dog this dogs go crazy..even when you dont have a dog..., first they jump and run around bark like crazy an try to attack the other dog ,and when they cant get at the dog behind the large closed wood fence they start attacking each other for some time...and are best friends after calming down...owner let them do what they want...
is it like this??

maybe this could be a idea to try...but not sure, as i dont really know the Situation and the dogs^_^
The the leash-rope training i told a bit down could work, give them rules to follow
like play with them a bit...when you did not already did go on a run-drive with them bevor^^ , then send them each to there place to stay (when you go and they are alone then take of the rope, you always can put it back on when you get back, simply click it on the collar or put over the neck again...) and go out calmly without telling them that you go...without a word you go out...and come back the same way, send them calmly to there place when possible without words, when you put your things away and they are calm you can let them stand up again when they want....

but, if they attack now and then out of the blue, if its when they eat , playing or in the same room...then it can take even more work...

- maybe then you may need to think about this....would you give one of the acd away, when no training works, but one of them goes well with Tommy when alone without the second aggressive dog?
- can you put on more training and workout each day? the two dogs may need a lot more training... and Tommy could needs a nice dog to play with now and then...
- do you have one or two people to help you...maybe even bether going with you to a trainer with your and the dogs...

and....how you train them.... are you one of those who never could train there dog a bit harder because they need gentle "no force only positive Training" ( even when there is not really a fully no no force training or only positive training out there...).... and how long do you want to accept this bad dangerous behavior... :?: (bad and dangerous...because even the gentlest most calm dog will fight back one day when it gets to much....give Tommy a year more of this...or he gets fearful of other dogs....)
you can do training with them both and the little boy over month and month or years.... or tell them once and for all from the start "NO, that this a not accepte behavior"......
you need to know what you want to do and what work best with your dogs, some will need more time to learn, an other learns asap after a sharp pull on the leash with a no, or other training....and so on, you know your Dogs best...or your trainer^^

i still would say, ...train with each single dog each day, and also with all dogs together.... they learn to respect you and your rules and each other with this.
- ...look who is the real aggressor...who starts the fight of the two acd's against Tommy..... this dog you Need to Train more.
if it needs to be put them away from Tommy, when they are with him put a muzzle on the two, or try it out if you can seperate the more aggressive dog and see if the other will work well with Tommy when alone....sometimes this is already enough for thee first time till training goes well.

- you can keep the two acd when all are together in the house with a light rope on the collar that trail a bit on the ground....and when you see signs of fight, take the rope calmly with a sharp no and a turn-pull and bring the dog out of the room or to its dogbed-place it stays and let the dog lie down to stay.
-when both act up take both leads and bring the away, but often one dog starts the fight and its often already enough to bring this dog away for a timeout.
intelligent Dogs learn fast, and you could later work from there on in the followig Training...like sending them to there place, or to bring a toy or such...

-a fast first try could be....
when you see aggressive behavior....you know how they look .....!!! ,the first signs bevor they try to attack him.... throw a small plastic bottle filled with some small Stones, and tell them NO( deep calm voice!!!) ( i would say ball but it does not do the rattling sound ) on the ground between or even on the dog who trys to attack( lightly and never to hurt, on the behind of the dog or such parts...its like a long arm, a tap to tell them to watch it and stop....a light chain dogcollar goes also) and maybe take them at the rope-leash to bring them away...
it does not seem nice, but when you ever did see a real dog fight break out or did see the hurts from a person who did break such afight off, when not stopped in the beginning fast enough, and did not know what to do as you know how dangerous it is to go between without protection...and then more or less Need to kick them away from each other....then this is a not so bad fast first try
and then when the two attacking dogs stop and look to you, bring them calmly to there place without a word, and maybe let them do some sit-down-heel after....and bring them back to there place....

....but this is only first try, only a fast way to breek up a starting fight...you still need to train with each dog alone and all dog together....
but even after some weeks-month-year of training, when all training with good trainer do not work and one stays aggressive against Tommy, you maybe still need to think about rehoming one of this acd dog to an other home....or Keep it away from places where it attacks the other dog when all are together...or muzzle the more dangerous first fight starting dog...

but i hope anything works out, and it is only something simple like giving them a bit more training.... hope you tell how it goes
not sure if you understd this what i did try to say, sorry i only had a moment time to write this out, could be some mistakes in it, ask when you have quesions....
but i think you will get more and bether ideas from the other dog owner here :D
Please klick them or they will die°°!!!

Trusted my dad to watch JJ while I went to the gym for an hour. Came home to an empty pizza box, an empty jar of peanut butter, and a very bloated puppy. This isn't the first time she's eaten a pizza while not under my supervision, but I hope it'll be the last. At least I know she'll be fine.

Edit: Good update! JJ's heat just started! That mean no spay for at least 4 months!!

I also found a wonderful breeder! It won't be very soon, but I'm definitely going to consider buying from her in a year or two.

Beautiful dogs. She was suggested by a knowledgeable woman I know and man do I have some crazy puppy envy.

JJ isn't a young dog nor old dog. So I wouldn't be too worried about spaying her now. I know it obviously won't happen because of her heat, but there is nothing to worry about. I personally like spaying before a year old because they respond and heal better.

Early spay/neuter interrupts growth plates, heightens the chance of some cancers, and can have other detrimental effects :) I'd personally leave off until two, and then spay/neuter if I can't trust myself/my family to leave my dog with another intact dog, but there's no reason you can't have intact dogs as long as you're responsible.

That being said, it's maninkari's choice and I'm sure they're educated on the matter.

Yeah, I read up a lot and decided to wait until two and then get her spayed. I appreciate your take though ^-^

So...

Today began interesting. This American Pitbull terrier about 1 year old appeared out of nowhere. My Dad called her to our driveway.

To sum it down, We gave her the old dog food hat we had for a year after our dog died (Because we never bothered to rid of it) and some water. She was such a sweetie with crystal clear blue eyes!

I'm glad to say though her owners finally went searching for her with some friends so she's back in her home now!
