"I love you too," Rosetail purrs, nuzzling him. It's a phrase she never tires of hearing or saying, and she agrees with him that it can never be said too much.
But when he challenges her to how fast she can eat a fish, she laughs and runs after him. "You're on, Slownose," she teases.

Jolting awake the normally calm queen tensed before realizing that the sudden commotion came from none other than Lavenderleaf. Giving the young cat a look she chuckled "Are you sure your training as a medicine cat? You would do great as a badger with how you rushed in here." Humor and good will laced her words as she teased. Sniffing her kits she hoped that they hadn't awoken frightened but was relieved when she noticed they had slept through it.

"Hey! We'll see who's slow Rose-uh-Rose-" Sweetnose gave up trying to be clever, it was just slowing him down. The tan tom slid to a stop in front of the prey pile and snatched a smaller fish for himself- less to eat, more to win- and began gulping it down as quick as he could, barely stopping for air. He had done this so often, practically every day since he was old enough to eat solid food and challenge cats, that it was surprising he hadn't choked yet. Health hazard? Maybe. But definitely fun. Sure the pair of them could have waited for someone to bring them prey and clean their nests, but Sweetnose and Rosetail were the independent sort. And besides, the clan didn't have apprentices anymore.

Rosetail beat him to the prey pile, though, but did grab a bigger fish. She instantly started chowing down, determined to win before her mate. He almost always beats her and she wants to prove she can beat him at least once.

Lavenderleaf skidded to a halt and spun around to greet Bramblingflower with her own goofy grin. "Oops," She giggled, "Sorry about that. I'll be a bit more quieter." Lavender however didn't lower her voice down to the whisper. She wasn't shouting anymore but wasn't exactly "quiet" either.

Lavenderleaf quickly spun back around when she saw her favourite queen, nearly loosing her footing and landing on her face. "Oh, clumsy me!" Lavenderleaf smiled back at the queen who she was considering a friend after so many frequented visits. That and she reaaally liked her kits.

"Maybe being a medicine cat is just my day job?" Lavender teased, "Medicine cat saving tons of innocent lives by day, Badger stealing little kits from nurseries by night!!" She cast a quick glance at the two kits at the queens side in worry. "Kidding of course," She laughed.

Silverkit turned and tossed hearing noises and voices in the nursery. She didn't feel like getting up yet though thanks to the noise she felt slightly awake and heard bits and parts of the conversations that were going on. The she-kit opened her eyes to see her mother Cloverheart, Bramblingflower, and the medicine cat apprentice Lavenderleaf. "Is that Lavenderleaf? Lavenderleaf is that you?" The she-kit asked tiredly still nuzzling close to her mother. "It's you right? There's no scary badgers right?" The kit asked the medicine cat apprentice looking up at the lilac-furred she-cat. "Mom, mom, there's no scary badgers are there?" The little kit asked her mother who she was still nuzzled up to, worriedly. Silverkit's tail hit something near her, well her sister to be specific who was somehow still sleeping through all the noise.

Foxfall ran back to camp, spotting his sister, lilystar, almost immediately. "Lilystar," He took a breath and continued. "I-It's Finchpelt. He's... He's dead."

chivekit happened to be a deep sleeper. but it was getting late, about the time to get up. which is what she did. raising here head, she yelled loudly, "i'm awake!" looking around, the kit realized everyone was up. Lavenderleaf was there to. "goodmorning Lavenderleaf! she purred, arching her small fluffy back and yawing.

the queen mentally awed at the little kittens; silverkit and her sister, chivekit, were just the two most adorable things in the world. however, bramblingflower was distracted by a tom racing into camp, a horrified expression on his face. it took her a moment to process foxfall's words, but once she did, all thoughts of silverkit and chivekit were gone. "Finchpelt? Dead? No... It couldn't possibly true!" she shook her head in denial, not wanting to believe foxfall's terrible news. she had known the warrior since she was little; they had grown up together. he couldn't possibly be dead!

Lilystar turned to her brother. "Where's his body?" She asked Foxfall. "We need to have a proper vigal for him," she explained, a bit shock to hear one of her warriors died. "Lavenderleaf grab your mentor and come with me!" She ordered.
