starclan smiles upon you, palestripe, fourth deputy of dawnclan. while your clan is still relatively new, you know the ins and outs of clan life, and do your best to provide for your clanmates. you can be a bit cold, and rough around the edges, but have your clan's best interest at heart. most of the time, this leads to you neglecting your own personal life and family relationships, leaving you an almost-emotionless husk often. despite this, you are sought after by cindermuzzle, a she-cat who admires your devotion and bravery. you aren't sure how to feel about her, and do feel a bit guilty for ignoring her most of the time. each morning and each night, you stand guard at the mouth of the cave your clan calls home, not uttering a single complaint as harsh desert wind whips your face and sand splashes your eyes. you've an apprentice, patchpaw, who you train each day, even when you are sick or upset. you hardly ever complain of injuries or illness, brushing them off as "just a scratch" or "a case of the chills". every day, you are sure to bring back at least one prey item to dawnclan, as prey is hard to come by in the desert during the day. sometimes, you do wish for a better life, where you are free from the warrior code's tight grip and your duties as deputy, but you scold yourself for "treacherous thinking", and move on.
