Sweetnose Mastiffs are a large working breed that are guard, hunting, and companion dogs. They require a fair amount of energy, meaning they are not suitable for sitting in a home all day unless the owner expects chewed up furniture. Sweetnose Mastiffs are very affectionate and friendly, although generally intimidating; they are quite intelligent and are eager to please, making them a good pet for those in active lifestyles.

The males average about 90 - 130 pounds, roughly about 26-30 inches high; females average about 80-110 pounds and 25-28 inches high. They are registered in the FCI Group #2, Section 2.

Howdy, and welcome to the artists hub! Here, each artist will have their own corner (post) describing what they're open for, concerning things like type of customs, breeding slots, and the like!
Each artist will have information about their customs, semi customs, or breedings and if they're open or not. If you have a custom/breeding that needs to be done, just search to see who's open, and then just pm the artist!

General Custom Rules
▪ Customs may not have custom lines; in order to become official, they must be on the official lineart
▪ Customs, and custom slots, may be traded with admin permission

▪ Permission is not needed for gifting
▪ However, they may not be sold
▪ A Sweetnose artist must be the one to make the custom; otherwise, admin permission is needed
▪ All customs must abide by genetic rules

Full Custom Rules
'Full' customs are customs that allow the user to order specifically what they want.
▪ The owner may provide pictures, colors, or whatever uncopyrighted material they wish for referencing
▪ The owner is allowed to make their genotype, either by choosing certain parts or the whole thing
▪ Genetic mutations are allowed, but must be cleared by an admin beforehand

▪ This does not apply for heavy ticking/roaning or double merle, as they are not true mutations
▪ Full customs can choose fur type
▪ Non-genetic things such as amputations, health issues, etc, are allowed

Semi-Custom Rules
Semi-customs are customs that only allow the user partial control over what they get.
Semi-custom rules vary per artist.
▪ A semi-custom is allowed to choose one series in their genotype to customize
▪ Artists are not required to follow all requests
▪ Semi-customs may not have mutations unless the artist chooses to add them on their own will

Staff Customs
(Staff will have their own private guideline / rule list concerning their position)
▪ All staff receive one custom upon being welcomed to the team
▪ Active staff may get one custom a month; you can either use this, keep it, or gift it to someone
▪ In order for staff to redeem their custom, an admin must approve (to prevent inactive staff from abusing custom privilege)
▪ However, a sweetnose artist must be the one to make it; otherwise, special admin permission is needed if anyone else were to make it (especially if you gave the custom slot to someone else)
▪ Customs may be traded with permission, but not sold

▪ However, they may not be sold
▪ A Sweetnose artist must be the one to make the breeding; otherwise, admin permission is needed
▪ All breedings must abide by genetic rules
▪ Owner(s) must provide consent for each breeding
▪ Only through items may owners choose genotype or phenotype (unavailable currently)
▪ Breedings will be posted via the main thread

▪ Artists may choose to make a cover but they are not required to
▪ Puppies will be numbered as if they are regular adopts
▪ Puppies may be kept, gifted, or adopted out

▪ Any adoptions can be user run or staff run

Breeding Information
▪ Sweetnose Mastiffs do not have to be mates in order to breed

▪ However, they must not be related- no inbreeding is allowed
▪ Sweetnoses can breed up to two times*

▪ There is a 'cool down' period of two weeks after each breeding
▪ They can have from one to four puppies each breeding
▪ Sweetnoses do not have to be different genders to breed; same sex breedings are allowed
▪ All breedings are rolled for, making it random within the parents genes

▪ Genetic mutations will be rolled for if a parent has a mutation
▪ All puppies are identified by a string; each puppy will have a different color string

▪ There are four types of strings: plain, tied in front, tied on the side, or tied on the back
▪ The strings work on both linearts, so all puppies will have them
▪ Artists decide if they choose which type on random, or may allow the owners to choose

*In the future Sweetnose Mastiffs may implement ways to earn more breeding slots- in the meantime two is the limit for all sweetnoses, and by the time anyone reaches the limit we will have either implemented a new system or just have given everyone more slots as originally intended
