Introduction

Welcome to PoppyClan.

PoppyClan is based off of my passed grandfather. He loved nature and the outdoors and appreciated whatever life threw at him, good or bad. He would do anything to protect and stay connected to those he loved because they were the world to him.
My family called him, of course, Poppy, because it was his request; poppies were a type of flower, and his favorite type of flower at that. He passed after a long battle with cancer when I was still young and he is missed dearly. However, his memory is strong in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

PoppyClan is a Clan that recognizes and praises the healing power of plants and the earth alike. They do not believe that cats go to StarClan, however, as they believe that the spirit of each cat lives on through flowers scattered throughout the land. In turn, they bury cats within a garden, and on every cat's grave they plant a flower to act as the cat's new vessel of life. If new the new vessel dies, it is unsure about where their spirit will travel, but living cats will no longer have contact with the vessel holder's spirit. They call the process of obtaining a new vessel "regrowth" and those among them the "growing," as well as calling living cats the "living" or "priming."

Clan Code

Kits must be six moons of age before apprenticeship.
~
One may not destroy or tamper with a vessel, whether occupied or not.
~
Word of a medicine cat is above all unless proven wrong or untrustworthy.
~
If there is only one medicine cat, they may not have kits until another is properly called upon by the growing and trained.
~
Leaving territory dangers all cats in the Clan and is strictly forbidden unless by a medicine cat or someone with the permission of a medicine cat.
~
No true PoppyClan cat is to be unmerciful at any time.
~
Deputy is chosen by the medicine cat(s) the day or night of the previous deputy's death. Exceptions occur when a deputy's death is unaccounted for until a further point in time.
