xxxmistclan and stoneclan had lived in the mountains together in peace, always sure to never push anyone's limits. both clans respected each other's privacy and worked together in times of trouble. for years, everything had gone smoothly... until mistclan's medicine cat made an incredibly irrational mistake. she claimed that starclan had sent her an omen saying that stoneclan were thieves and were secretly planning a war. why did she create such an idea? mistclan's medicine cat was panicked that she was running dangerously low on her herb stock. instead of being mature and waiting until the next gathering to discuss the issue with stoneclan to see if they had anything to spare, she decided to put many lives at stake. because of the "omen" sent to the medicine cat, a great war broke out which resulted in many casualties, including mistclan's beloved leader.


xxxas the battle was going on, only few cats heard what a stoneclan tom hissed at the medicine cat as he took her life. suspicions have begun to rise throughout the two clans as they begin to recover and sort things out. the word spoken on that dreadful day has made its way into different ears and out of different mouths many times as the moons pass. mistclan and stoneclan cannot seem to piece together why the warrior would have said what he did. the medicine cat did nothing but warn her clan of an upcoming battle, right? does the warrior brute know something that everyone else is oblivious to? why wont he say anything about it? no cat can seem to come to a conclusion as to why the tom hissed that mistclan's medicine cat was a ❝ LIAR ❞.

xxxpoppystar awoke with a start. she had been having another nightmare about flamestar, who she had looked up to greatly for her entire life. the memory of her violent death had been repeating all throughout the night. every now and then, she would wake up, breathing heavily. poppystar could hardly get a good night's sleep anymore. most days she was overwrought with fatigue. though some days she could hardly stay on her paws, she still enjoyed the comfort of her clanmembers and felt it was no problem to do the day's duties.
xxxthe tortoiseshell molly took in a deep breath and shuffled to her paws. it was another day, and she was strong enough to face it. poppystar exited her den and scanned camp. so far, no one was awake, but that was okay with her. poppystar enjoyed being the first up in the mornings. she loved to relax and listen to the sound of the forest waking up. it was as if it she could hear the buzzing of life throughout mistclan's territory. poppystar's stomach growled, and she obeyed its wishes to be fed. the molly hopped down the rocks that led to the entrance of her den and padded silently to the fresh-kill pile. after choosing her prey, she made her way back to the rocks atop her den and lay in the sun's welcoming rays to relax before the clan woke.

Slowly I open my eyes and blink at the light coming through the entrance of the den. I drag myself up and slowly exit the camp. I fix my limp and look around, Poppystar seems to be resting atop her den but otherwise the camp seems empty. Not feeling hungry I sit down in the center of the camp and allow my eyes to get used to the sun. I inhale the crisp air and sigh, thinking about my daily routine. My dreams are empty even when thoughts whizz through my head. Even though sadness has taken over due to recent events, even though sadness wills me to be weak.

Tired and distressed I awake, something big is happening between the clans and I just hope to stay out of it. I pull myself up and stretch my fluffy legs. I yawn and unlock my tight jaws. My sharp teeth craving a bite of food, my tongue waiting to savor the tastes I put into my mouth. I exit the den into the light of the outside. The fresh food pile is nowhere near full but I manage to spot a small juicy rat among a few sparrows which I pick up and chew. The tasteless meat angers my senses, their expectations far higher than this. I swallow the small being and I lay down in order to soak up the suns merciless rays and to digest my meal.

Sapphirepaw groaned uncomfortably as she awoke. Her stomach
grumbled loudly, and she shuffled about in her mentors den-the
Medicine cats den. Her blue eyes traveled to the exit, before
she slowly got up, shaking off her ruffled fur.
Stumbling a bit, Sapphirepaw went straight towards the food pile,
her stomach growling again. She was pretty sure she ate nothing
yesterday, or before that, and she was very hungry.
However, before she ate anything, she mumbled
a "Goodmorning, Robinfeather" before picking up a
medium sparrow.
She sighed, thankful she finally ate something before
swallowing the creature with a gulp.
