i also noticed with her pets that her pets have either dots, splotches or stripes - like markings, is that also a possibility?

Also purple eyes! It's something in common with not only that dog, but many of her pets. It also has spots which almost all of her staff creates have had.

My eyes keep drawing to the "more forte". It could just be a typo, but could it also be a reference to music? It is very true that forte is the opposite of subtlety. Literally. I'm not certain what it could mean though.

and that kitty has a yellow nose and eyeliner, so it kind of fits?

Scrolled through all of their pet groups with a star in front (2011 pets) and I found a few pets scattered throughout all named after lyrics of the song Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off by Panic! at the Disco.

Sorry, they're just leftover names from whoever I got the pets from. I've not ever heard the song. ): the answer is much simpler than I think you're expecting, and very similar to something someone's already uncovered.

I think the star means wishlist and chronicles is a synonym of archives.
I went to July 2010 in the archives and found some pets that remind me of the dressed up deer- the sparkle butterfly wolves and a galaxy pony...

The star symbol is used in the names of his 2011 pet groups and pony hoards. Not sure what the "chronicles" bit means, but in the February 2011 group it says, "I'm the victim of this day and age, I've forgotten how to feel, I've forgotten how to change, So I surrender to the apple of my eye, I surrender to the wind, I will let the wind decide★" Apparently these lyrics come from the song "Choices" by The Hoosiers. Now I'm lost.
