Dear Bob,
Today was hectic-ish.
I called Emmie, but she was busy, so I called Clair, and she was busy too.
I was about to call Cody, cause we were still friends...right? But I was afraid that Nick might pick up instead.
That would be ackward, I mean, this rich singer dude, likes me. And in my panic, I shut him out.
I sit on the couch and flip through the TV channels.
A knock at the door.
My dad was at work, mom was upstiars, and my brothers were out back. I sighed and went to answer the door, wondering who it could be.
I got a surprise, as the last person I thought it would be was there. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was.
"Hi..." He started.
Oh sorry, did I forget to tell you who?
Rainbow pony singer boy all wrapped in ribbons.
Okay, that was random, but hey, I'm like freaking out here.
"Nick. What'er you doning here?" I mumbled, looking down at my feet and resisting the urge to slam the door in RainbowRibbonPony's face and running away.
"Uuuhh...Well..."
"Huh?"
"Why don't you want to go to the dance with me? I'm like, the coolest kid around!" He blurted.
I groaned.
"One, I always go with Cody, cause we're best friends. And two, Tyler asked me to go, as like, friends. Three, you're so full of yourself. Did you even hear what you just said?" I threw my paws into the air, exasperated.
"See?" He said triumphantly, "That's why I like you, you don't like me! You're the first girl in the history of the world to not be crazy about me!"
"I-I...I don't think I'm even going to the dance." I stuttered, "And if I do go, I'd go with Tyler."
"What? Tyler? Why Tyler?" Nick scowled a bit at his friend's name.
"Because I told him that I wasn't going, and I don't want him to think that I lied. And I kinda...like him." I felt wierd admitting it, especially to Nick.
He frowned, and looked away. I waited a few ackward seconds. Almost a minute.
"Maybe you should go..." I mumbled.
"Fine." He looked kinda hurt, and I avoided his eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"Yeah whatever."
"Shut up Nicky."
"Nicky?"
"Yeah, that doesn't annoy you does it?"
"Well, kinda."
"Okay then Nicky. Bye." I waved and smiled a bit slyly.
"No, seriously, don't call me that."
"Nicky."
He growled a bit and I laughed.
"Are your brother's home?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, out back." I pointed to the back door. "Go ahead."
"Thanks."
I looked away from his sweet smile.
"I uh...Bye." I raced up the stairs with a head full of dizzying emotions.

Oh, a knock at the door, got to go Bob!

Oh.
Okay, so I admit. I do kinda like Nick.
Maybe I should explain?

The knock at my bedroom door.
"Come in." I put down a book I was reading and looked up. There was Nick, grinning foolishly at me.
"Uhoh. This can't be good."
"So I was talking to your brothers," He started, coming farther into the room.
"Oh, oh[i]no.[/i] Get out. Unless you've come to warn me that some major disaster is comeing, like maybe the world is ending and we're all going to live on a planet made out of candy. Oooh, please tell me that's what's happening!"
"You don't want me here?" He looked hurt, and payed no attention to the candy planet talk.
"Well, if you were talking to Levi and Ian, that can NOT be good..."
Nick chuckled and held out his hand to me. "Come on."
"Huh? Who what, when, where, and why?"
"You'll see..." He said, being all cutie boy suspicious-like.
"Awah, but I too lazy. I don't feel like walking."
"Would you rather I carry you?"
I shot out of my bed and over to the door. "Sooo, which direction should I take?"
"We're going to my house."
I sighed and walked out, down the hall, to my mom's room. "Mom, I'm going out to a friends' house. I'll be back whenever."
I heard her reply "Okay" and went down the stairs with Nick following.
Nick's house wasn't too far to walk, down a few blocks.
So we walked, he talked a bit but I kept mostly silent.
I wasn't paying attention to where we were at, so when he grabbed my arm to steer me into his drive, it sent out shocks like electricity. I gasped quietly and breathed deeply to calm my pounding heart.
"You okay Carmen?"
"Hmm? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Is Cody here?" I asked, walking through the doorway behind him.
My question was answered when Cody came into the room. His eyes widened and I looked away. "What are you doing here? And with him?" He glared at Nick, who was smiling like nothing was wrong.
"Honestly, he hasn't told me what we're doing here yet." I said quietly. "Thought maybe he will soon." I hinted to Nick that I wanted to know. "I think he kidnapped me." I joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Neither of them laughed, and Nick's exspression was soon turning similar to Cody's scowl.
I tugged Nick's arm. "If you guys are going to kill each other with stares I'm gonna go home."
"No, C'mon, let's go."
"Uuugh, where are we going?"
"Anywhere but near him."
I glanced between the two half brothers.
"Seriously guys, what is this all about, you were best friends a few days ago!"
"Life, that's what happened." Cody said dismissively.
I grumped a bit, but Cody walked away before I could ask anything else, and Nick pulled me up the stairs and into his room. He grabbed up a guitar, and looked at me intently, he pushed me down to sit on his bed and sat across from me, in a chair.
"Tell me what you think..."
I listened as he sang a beautiful song about a girl. It was slower paced then most of the songs that I've heard him sing before, but it was a really nice song.
He finnished with a short guitar solo, and glanced at me expectantly.
I was playing the words back in my head. The song seemed to be about a certain girl...I gasped softly. "I-it was..different...then what you usually sing..." I managed.
He leaned forward. "But did you like it?"
I was a little disterbed by how close he was, and I shifted a little.
"It was really pretty...Was it about--?" I choked out, but couldnt't finnish what I was going to say.
"You," He confirmed.
"I...I should probably get home."
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have." He mumbled, "You have a right to be mad at me."
"I'm not mad..." I whispered, looking into his eyes.
It all happened so quickly, he was reaching forward, and suddenly his paw was on my cheek. I moved closer to him and felt his garlic-yKidding...breath on my face. And suddenly we were kissing.
I'd kissed Danny before, but this was nothing at all like that. I felt alive, there in Nick's arms.
"I really should be getting home..." I mumbled, pulling away. But I made no move to leave.
"Carmen..."
"Umhm?"
"Are you sure you won't go to the dance with me?"
"I...Well, I..." I looked up at him, "I guess I could go, I'd just have to have an excuse for telling Tyler that I'm not going."
He shifted a bit when I said my crush's name, and I smiled at him reasuringly. "Thanks for bringing me here. And I loved the song. Really."
He smiled back, but then frowned. "What about Cody?"
"I'll talk to him. We're best friends, he'll get over it."
"He's afraid that I'll steal you and you'd spend less time with him and your other friends, like when Danny was around."
"Hmmm...Danny? Oh, yeah, Danny. I guess I didn't realize that I was spending less time with them when...Danny, was around."
"Huumph." He sighed, and I kissed him on the cheek, leaving with a long backward glance and a quick "See you at school."
I found Cody watching TV.
"Hey Co, you wanna walk me home?"
"Don't feel like walking." He muttered, so I pulled him to his feet, and out the door behind me, "Oh come on. I demand you take me home then."
I soon got him talking on the way to my house, and said that I'd talked to Nick about what happened between them. I left out the kissing part, and promised him that I would spend as much time with him as I could.
I gave him a friendly hug before going inside.

And now my brother's are all afraid of me because of my bubbly additute. I'm all fuzzy warm inside and happy.
I cannot wait for the dance!
Or school.
And I know that sounds wierd, but I mean so I can see Nick.
Now that I think about it, I think Nick liked me calling him Nicky. Sly idoit, making me call him Nicky, I was trying to make fun of him!
Oooh, I have to work on my homework now. Not even that can penetrate my overflowing happiness!!
I feel like...like...I feel like a rainbow unicorn that was all lonely because all the other unicorn's were plain colored, but then I got invited to a unicorn party. And we had lots and lots of fun.
And ate twinkies.

Just cause I'm so happy that I feel like a random whositwatsit.

Oooh, I have to work on my homework now. Not even that can penetrate my overflowing happiness!!
I feel like...like...I feel like a rainbow unicorn that was all lonely because all the other unicorn's were plain colored, but then I got invited to a unicorn party. And we had lots and lots of fun.
And ate twinkies.
