Sam hesitantly stood up but quickly followed after Chloe. Don't make Ares kids mad and don't make them wait! She told herself. She looked back at Erika and almost let out a sigh of relief. Because quiet frankly Sam was terrified to alone with Chloe especially since she didn't really know her.

[Anomaly]

Val looked at the ambrosia and gently took it, eating it slowly with a soft sigh. "I'm sorry..." She looked at the faces of all who were on this quest. And the last one she laid eyes on was Seth. "Thank you Seth." She was still shivering but she knew she would be better. Just needed time to heal. Her throat was dry as a lump was stuck in her throat. They all took care of her, even though she was a Roman. Why?

Dresyn nodded at Ife. "Alright then." He pulled his daggers against his arms again and stood up straight. A daughter of Zeus. This could get interesting.

Azura plopped down on the benches to watch the fight. Dresyn hadn't seemed to notice she'd held his hand longer than was necessary and she was glad. She didn't know how to go about winning him over but she was sure acting like an idiot wasn't it. She dropped her head into her hands and sighed, Chloe would have seen that and she'd never hear the end of it. Why did she have to be so awkward?

Chloe realized that she made Sam nervous but that was normal for first timers. She was a daughter of Ares, the god of war. Everyone expected her to always be on a hair string, ready to snap at any time. Which at the moment she was, she was so frustrated by her inability to help her mother that she just wanted to hurt things. She looked back and smiled at Sam, trying to make her realize that she wasn't going to eat her and lead the way toward the equipment shed. "Once your claimed you'll likely get a weapon from your father, most kids do. Its really the only practical gift a god can give his demi-god children, since they're always being attack by monster after a certain age."

Seth nodded his head, his crooked grin played across his face. "No problem. I'm all for helping a damsel in distress. Hero training 101." He snickered. Though his blue eyes still held concern for Val.


Sam nodded her head but one thing puzzled her. "But why don't the gods just protect their children? Why not put up like a big warning sign that says", Sam paused, making her voice sound deep and husky. ",'Hey this is my kid stay away or I'll kick your butt.'?" She asked, looking up at the taller older, camper.

[Anomaly]

Val nodded slowly, shivering and slowly trying to stand up. "Is everyone ok?" She felt her legs buckle underneath her. She knew she couldn't feel her legs. But it would pass. The Ambrosia was helping. She looked at Seth and saw something in his eyes. Concern, but what for? Her eyes went they're regular brown, the way only way that she was her.

[Symphonia]

Erika sighed. She really wished that her mother would always be looking over her. "The gods are really busy, and they have a ton of kids to look after. To be honest, we all wish that our godly parent would always be there at our sides, protecting us. But all of us have a parent who's a god; so naturally the gods...well, it's hard to explain." Erika tried to explain to the new camper, but found herself at a loss for words.

Chloe looked back over her shoulder, "Well if the gods just always protected their children then we wouldn't have any quests to do and we wouldn't have the potential to gain immortality for ourselves. Besides we all have the strength to fight off most of the monster's that come at us, so its a fair trade off." Chloe stopped in front of the shed, "Do you have any training at all with weapons?"

[astrocompass]

Jeremy jumped down from the tree he was in, and landed next to Erika "the gods, well they don't interfere in our lives unless they want to or we are about to die" he said pushing his glasses back up onto his nose at the same time. "well....unless they pick favorites and your one of them. oh by the way I'm Jeremy Aroppel, son of Hermes" he added leaning against the tree which happened to be a piticularly rude Nymph that slapped him with a broad leaf. Jeremy backed up sputtering, then shrugged "what! the Nymphs have never liked me" he said almost appologetic.

[Symphonia]

Erika jumped in shock when Jeremy landed next to her so suddenly. She rolled her eyes. "You've seriously gotta stop doing that, Jeremy." Erika muttered. "But what he and Chloe are saying is completely true. Eventually you'll meet your dad, whoever he is. But for now, focus at the task at hand; you have to start training." Erika said in a serious tone.

[cryptids.]

Seth nodded and stood up. "A little cold, a little stiff, but other than that I'm fine." He sighed before looking at the others.


Sam bit her lip. "So what you're saying is, that basically they just don't care... We're all just accidents..." She muttered, dropping her gaze to her feet.
She looked up at Chloe, who had a different view on the gods. But Sam didn't know if that really changed what she said a second ago.
Sam shook her head. "No, other than fighting my dog with a rubber ball about who got to sit on the couch, none."
Sam jumped slightly as a guy jumped down from a tree. "Hi, I'm Sam Helm." She giggled slightly and gave up on adding the last part.


Adrian's wings shuddered slightly as he stretched. "Bored, tired, and a little heartbroken..." He paused before laughing to himself. "Yeah right." He snickered darkly. "She was pretty, but that lame-o act of hers was pi**ing me off." He grinned his twisted smile.
