lexiIbala's eyes were still sealed shut, as well as his ears were closed. He could feel the heat from his mother, remembering her smell and staying close to it. The male cub could hear muffled shouting, not exactly understanding what it was. However, he was startled when a splat of something wet and sticky hit his soft fur. It smelled rancid and odd, something he wanted off of him. Soon, the long tongue of who he assumed was his mother was covering him and going through his fur with quick laps. He didn't understand what was going on, but was glad to have the odd liquid off of him.

Impisi was shaken by the encounter with the male lion, but did his best not to let it on. Thankfully hunting gave her time to clear her mind and catch an antelope worth 3 servings.
While the two members of the pride had made it through the fight with miraculously little more than a few cuts and bruises, Nomvula wrenched her paw carrying her son to a more suitable camp. Can't raise the little ones next to a corpse!
In two posts time the attack and its injuries will be little more than a memory.

Raja was a big softy, really. Kimmati could see it in his eyes whenever he was around the cubs.
“Mam! When can we go out to explore!” Nana asked, for what felt like the hundredth time. Mauna nodded enthusiastically to that idea. The older, larger cub still hadn’t spoken, but it was obvious from how the two of them acted that Mauna was in charge. Mauna could silence her sister with a single look when she wanted to. It seemed like she wasn’t speaking because she just didn’t see a need to, or maybe she’d developed such expressive eyes as a compromise from not being able to speak. Either way, she seemed to be managing well enough, and it was always clear what she wanted.
Raja didn’t try to egg them into anything, (or try unsuccessfully to give them meat) but he did play with them, letting the two of them use his tail as a toy, and climb all over him. Mauna had even tried eating his ear at one point, and Raja had pretended that it had been some skilful attack (and Kimmati had tried not to make “aww”ing noises, because they really were too small to think of them as anything other than infants yet). Kimmati thought he was making a rather good father to the cubs, even if it was unintentional.

Raja did catch himself a little hare of one serving, the male found himself something more interesting on his trek. A young lioness more than happy to join a growing pride!

Garmadon sighed. They had to risk it, Misako needed food. He picked up the boar, and began to drag it back to base. Misako would be birthing soon enough, he had to get back to her quickly!
(Garmadon brings back the boar and they eat two servings of it)
(Misako gives birth!)
Misako does not react well to the boar and her birthing is greatly troubled, leaving her tired and weak. She delivers four cubs, but two of them don't make it.
