Dude that's good money spent. I've spent... 100+? american dollars on 90 or so Owl City songs, and a ton on Imagine Dragons music and their merch AND concert tickets AAAAAND I'm planning on getting more tickets.

And never forget the probably $1000+ I've spent on a children's book series over the course of ten years.

And I'm buying a fancier copy of a book I already own for $90. I originally ordered it for $150.

If you love what you get, money is never, ever wasted. Because if it makes you happy it's worth it!
