What was up with this woman? She seem to be full of her self and somewhat cocky.Oddly, She manged to grab his interest. The unicorn smiled placing one hand in his pocket. "Oh really? You think you can beat at full strength? I've driven off demons in my current condition, so it would be no problem fighting you." His teasing sounded more like a challenge. He glanced at her arm, taking her help." Thank you. Also a rebellion camp? So your fighting against the demons...teh, those scum."Just thinking about the made mad. How dare they destory his kingdom and kidnap his people..including his baby sisters

( ) — VAXAS TAVRINTH
══════════════════════════════════════════════════
║ age twenty-four ║ gender male ║ elven commander ║ location clinic ║ tags emillia

"I'm not playing around anymore, Emillia. I'm still your commander." Vaxas tried to maintain his professionalism, however that had clearly failed as now he was more flustered than ever. He cast his gaze downward, hearing the Wisp's extremely accurate description of his little crush. An extremely accurate description of Akiria. It was true— she could take down a beast twice his size. She was every bit as stoic, strong, and silent as he was, but the only difference was that she was slightly more awkward when it came down to the subject of romance. Although Vaxas had had multiple heartwarming moments with her, she was a little reluctant, he found. Either that, or confused.

"Er... I'm gonna disappear elsewhere. The townhall. You should be heading there, too. It's almost time."

Emillia(the wisp)/ Healer/ bound being/ 17/ Tags@ Vaxas
Emillia nodded as he said he wasn't playing anymore "yes of course, my apologies commander." She said, attempting to keep the straightest face she could. She did good with her composure, but she was fighting an internal battle not to crack a grin or laugh. She could hear how flustered he was, having been turned into her temporary victim.
He said he was leaving and she had to bite her lower lip to keep from letting out a giggle at his loss of composure. "Right sir, I'll be there shortly." She said as she listened to him leave her clinic. A second passed between the sound of the door closing, and her doubling over with a wheeze of laughter escaping. She did her best to to laugh loudly, only because she would feel eternally awful if someone heard her laughing at what could only be the commanders expense.
She straightened up and reached a hand under her blindfold to wipe away the moisture that had gathered over her glass eyes. She hadn't had a good laugh in a while, it was so serious here, there was a hanging feeling of dread over the camp that rarely was out of mind.
Her laughter at Vaxas was replaced with a soft blush, a rare shade of pink tinting her normally colorless complexion. While she was usually calm and supposedly wise she was still a young woman at heart. She was not the distant wisp she normally appeared to be, and instead was a lot like the child she once was at heart. Mischievous, imaginative, and with naive daydreams of the future. It was cliche, but she loved the idea of a valiant knight with a fair lady he thought of as a princess. She had a longing for that, it was a common dream she would be embarrassed to admit, but it was true.
Her daydream was also something she would never have, at least not in good conscious. She hated the idea of someone falling in love with her, she longed for it, but her life would be short and then what would her partner do? Sure he would eventually remarry and possibly even have his own children with a new wife, but the idea of someone she loved being broken over her inevitably swift ending was enough to keep her fantasies reigned in and kept as such.
She was happy for Vaxas and everyone else instead, she could stand to be on her own. Her blush dissipated replaced for a moment with furrowed brows and a slight downturn in her lips, before she let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding and stepped outside of the clinic with her bag still hanging over her shoulders.

I think people are a lot like kintsugi pieces, broken and repaired in a way that is unique to them and beautiful. We should always remember to recognize the broken pieces of others and to be empathetic. Don’t forget to celebrate your own chips, cracks, and broken pieces and repair them with gold.

Naomi|Princess|tagging no-one

Naomi sat outside, polishing her sword slowly. She was bored, but at least what she was doing wasn't useless. A sharp sword was what kept everyone alive in these times of war. She was perfectly aware that there were probably other things she could be doing, like helping out somewhere or doing some paperwork, but she wanted to be alone for now, outside in the nature. As she sharpened the sword, she remembered when she had been taught how to do it. Not too sharp, the edge will then be breakable... Naomi smiled as she remembered the advice. She probably could stop now.

Oromis|Healer|tagging no-one

In the infirmary, Oromis moved around slowly, tidying up. "Those go here... Who put those here??" he grumbled to himself. It always felt like there were some people that went into the infirmary just to mix everything up, and annoy him. After a few minutes, Oromis stepped back, looking over the shelves. "looks better." he agreed, nodding.

Ishmael Vipal
Male|26|human shapeshifter|soldier/tracker|form|tags: vaxas

The giant wolf padded into the rebel encampment, moving in a straight line towards the headquarters. Halfway through its strides, the creature resolved into a tall, tan and scarred man, that pushed open the entrance to the tent and stood there, squinting ineffectively, milky white eyes trying to locate someone to no avail before he gave up and asked, instead- "is commander Vaxas here?"
After listening to the soldiers redirect him to the town hall, where commander Vaxas was supposed to give an announcement, Vipal nodded in thanks and redirected towards that.
When he managed to find the commander at the promised location, Vipal stood at attention, waiting to catch the man's attention. Commander Vaxas was intimidating, a sullen, pale elf with a glare like cold steel, and Vipal couldn't help but stand a little straighter while he waited for some verbal acknowledgement of his turn to speak - verbal, since he wouldn't be able to see a simple nod that well.

Vaxas' steps were in tune with his heart as he left the clinic. His breaths were shallow and lethargic, but that was what he was used to. He wasn't nervous in the least, nor was he excited. Vaxas was being Vaxas, meaning he did not care at all. Not any longer. He kept his calm and collected facade up, knowing he would be facing the townspeople fairly soon. Townspeople? Cavernspeople. Although there was a small town in the cavern system, Frearie was still not theirs. Citizens could not establish any property of their own in a place like this. The ground was rather dry and stony, and even trees were scarce.

People were scattered in front of the podium that stood before the town hall. Vaxas recognized soldiers, giving a couple of them curt nods and nothing more. He'd have to hand pick his squad of elites soon, and for sure, he knew he wanted Emillia and Akiria with him. Perhaps Vipal would be in the question, but Vaxas hadn't had the time to spar with him one on one, and test his skills. Vaxas directed his stale gaze to the blank-eyed man.
"Good morning, Vipal," said Vaxas dully, maneuvering himself around the others to get to the podium.

Ishmael Vipal
Male | 26 | human shapeshifter | soldier/tracker | location: townhall | tags: vaxas

"Good morning, sir. Ah. The reports from the surrounding areas- I've caught scent of at least three different demon patrols near the base of the mountain. It seems their king is devoting a lot of resources to finding us. The eastern mountain pass is still secure, but it's only a matter of time, at this rate. I would-" He started to say, realized he was about to try to suggest something to the commander of all people, and shut his mouth again with a snap. Stick to the facts, you blind fool. "Well- yes. That's all, sir."
The area surrounding the rebel encampment was extremely difficult to navigate, the nature of the mountain range helping conceal them. A maze of a region that leveled off or twisted and turned without rhyme or reason. An entire encampment could - and did - hide itself among its many dead-ended valleys, sheer cliff faces, hidden passages and caverns. Being so dependend on the treacherous nature of the terrain, no one was looking forward to let their enemies explore and find their footing. Vipal himself kept a very close eye on the few secure mountain passes that could take an army straight to the heart of their bases, if they were navigated, and came to report as soon as it seemed one of these entrances were being threatened.

    Vaxas nodded.
"We will be taking the Eastern Mountain Pass anyway. There are several demon villages down below but it is not those that mean or impose any harm or threat to us. We simply worry about the kingdom and the royals that currently live within it." Vaxas cursed those royals under his breath for taking his brother away.

Aside from Mallius' disappearance, Vaxas' life wasn't something that was enthralling. All he did was hide away. He was in no psychological shape to be a commander, but he had the job regardless. Oh, how he would love to pass it onto his brother... If only he were still alive.

(don't have much to write. there will be much more when everyone gets to town hall. then i do the speech thing)

Laila Ashdown-Half demon-soldier-17

Laila jumped high in the air, her long scarf billowing in the wind behind her. she brought her giant black scythe down hard on the side of a tree then landed. There was a loud bang as the top half of the tree hit the ground. Laila had always enjoyed training with her scythe on trees, it was a challenge and a good way to collect some firewood. Laila made her scythe disappear after deciding to collect the timber later. She then remembered the meeting at the town hall and started making her way there.
