"Agni," Grapefruit repeated solemnly. He tilted his head to the right as he came up with an idea. "Wanna ride on my back into the river? You might be able to catch more fish that way." He smiled indulgently. "I don't mind. Birds hang on my back all the time." He stared at the glistening water before snapping back to attention. "Unless you're scared..." he let it hang in the air.

"So you know where it is? We should go!" She grinned and stood up. If they could get on a boat they could go to the savanna! The thought of going excited her and she no longer felt tired. She's never been to the savanna, but wanted to go ever since her mother told her about it when she was a cub. "Is the ocean far away?" Iris asked, her eyes wide.

The fox nodded. "We have to go west of here, we should reach the ocean", he said. "I'm not sure how far we will have to go, but we can try!", he said, suddenly feeling inspired by Iris's spur of energy.

The she-cat thrashed her tail. "Don't worry, I'm not scared", she said, stepping toward the edge. What if it was a trap...? He could eat me! , she thought urgently. In her gut, Agni felt safe. She approached the alligator and climbed on his back.

"I'm glad you're not afraid," The alligator grinned, leaning slightly towards the cat to make it easier for her climb. Then he slowly made his way into the water, farther and farther, until he reached the centre. "The deeper it is, the more fish there are," he explained leisurely. He came to a stop, and with alert, narrowed eyes he detected several silvery fish darting below. "Here we are. Have a go at it," he urged Agni. "Show me what a cat can do."
