Well, this is hopeless. How am I supposed to help Leaf? Sky thought as she looked back at Ice, wondering what to do.

"Hmm." Lark thought for a bit. They would probably need more cats, but they could search the island and ask around. Maybe they could even turn some of the Tribe cats. "Are we close to where they are?"

Ice was shocked that the little kit darted past Sky to settle in front of her. Great, the kit hates me. What do I do now? the boatswain thought as she continued to stare at Little and look at Tempest, hoping that he has a plan to handle the accusations. Ice wanted to bring out the accusations and the evidence so bad, but she had to be patient, so she remained calm.

Ice resisted the urge to knock the kit off of its legs; after all, it is not nice to smack a kit. I will not hurt him, I am not a monster, she thought as she looked around the camp, hoping that someone would intervene. "Leaf, that is enough!" Ice raised her voice, but she was still firm. She hoped the kit would listen, even if he didn't like it that she raised her voice at him. "Is this how you should be acting right now? Is this the right thing for you to do?"

The kit ignored her but flinched once she raised her voice. He growled and felt angry.

Ice looked down at Leaf. This kit is courageous. He acts almost like his mother. Why is nobody stepping in and helping me? Are they really that scared? The boatswain looked around the camp. She is confused as to why she and a few others were arguing with Little. Ice thought the entire tribe would stand up against her.
