As soon as Onekit took note of Stormjaw's signal of approval, he eagerly moved to step out of his bed to join them. A flutter of excitement showed by the way his ears perked up and the tip of his tail was twitching from one side to the other. The lifeless critter before him looked odd in appearance, there were no limbs or ears attached to its body other than a slim piece sticking out of its side that he assumed must be the tail. Even so, it had a delectable smell and it caused his mouth to begin salivating. He took another step forward to pause as Fawnheart came over to pick him up by the scruff. He only blinked in response to the familiar action, he couldn't count how many times a day it occurred and figured to just go along with it, finding the gesture to be somewhat comforting. She had placed him directly beside the kill. His purring motor suddenly kicked in from the depths of his throat as he lowered his muzzle to get a good whiff. Would it be considered impolite if he went ahead before Indigokit? An impatient huff erupted the course purring as he turned his head to look over his shoulder at Indigokit who still continued in her slumber. If it weren't for the horrendous nightmare he had, he would most likely be in the same lethargic state. But right now, the only thing on his mind was the juicy piece of meat on display before him, then again could you even consider it to be meat? He darted a precautionary side glance in Stormjaw's direction as to whether or not she was staring at him. He knew that if she caught him, he would definitely be in for a scolding. He quickly shook the thought away as he noticed Fawnheart gently croon for Indigokit to wake up. Onekit loved how nurturing the older molly was, it seemed her affection for both of them grew every moment she laid eyes on them. He struggles to recall the memories of his mother or any of his family, yet now it hardly ever crosses his mind and sometimes when he does ponder on it, Fawnheart's face seems to come to mind instead. "Get up already sleepyhead! Jeez, are you a bear?" He snorted, watching as Indigokit's form rose up from her moss bed. Fawnheart returned with Indigokit at her heels. Then all of a sudden, the older molly began to strip off individual pieces for him and Indigokit. As soon as Fawnheart backed away from the kill, Onekit lunged for the nearest piece to gobble it down. It tasted distinctly of the nearby river and the texture was comparatively tender. A loud purr erupted from him again as the adoring Queen ran her tongue across his head. "Th-k y--u!"He was too distracted to notice Fawnheart's remark.

Incoherent words flitted through Indigokit's mouth as she slept, feeling blissful and at peace. The sensation was interrupted by a soothing voice emanating from above and tickling the hairs at her right ear. Giggling she sluggishly sat upright, blinking the sleep from her eyes she peered up at the Queen. "Good morning."She mewed. With a yawn parting open her mouth, she ran her tongue over her lips. "Real food?"Blinking she curiously began scanning the den until her eyes landed on something that closely resembled dung of any kind. Her muzzle scrunched up from the repulsive sight and smell. "What even is that thing?" Shaking her head she scurried behind Fawnheart, peering out from behind the other molly with narrowed eyes. She caught Onekit staring and stuck out her tongue,"Well at least I don't look like one! You big bear cub!"She looked over at Stormjaw for reassurance and was sadly disappointed. Swallowing down a lump of skepticism, she slowly crept over behind Fawnheart. She glared at Onekit as he greedily began indulging himself with the kills innards. Scowling she reluctantly plopped down beside of him. Relieved by Fawnheart's show of affection she courageously took a bite out of it and almost chocked on it from surprise. It was incredibly delicious!
