What is a chain collab? wrote:Collaboration is "the action of working with someone to produce or create something."
This type of collaboration, the chain collaboration, takes a collab to the next level! instead of working with one other person you get the chance to work with a whole bunch of different artists (the chain links)! So at the end we all helped to put together one large piece or art!
It'll start with one image (this one here) then one artist will be added to the image so they can do a small piece of detail, as well as draw their character anywhere on the sheet, it could be up close, far away, talking with another character, or just staring blankly into nothingness! that is all up to you as the artist!
after the artist has put their input into the image, they'll post it and the next person on the list will be pmed and added to the artists' piece of the collab. the next person will do their part (the small piece of detail and their character) and when theyre done they will add the person after them to their image, and so on and so on until we have a finished piece!.
Rules
- Don't make your character larger then the grey canine in the bottom right saying "go!" if we get too many large characters there wont be room for more!
- add a small detail to the background while you add your character, this could be adding grass somewhere, adding a rock somewhere, coloring in the sky, adding clouds, putting shading under something, adding flowers or anything else you can think of! as long as it doesn't break a rule!
- no inappropriate things- same as everything else on chickensmoothie, the things here need to be child appropriate.
- do not mess with other people's art additions, adding shading under something is fine, coloring an uncolored spot is fine, however moving, redrawing, drawing over, or anything else that might make someone feel left out or angered should not be done!! this is a community project, it would be nice to let people do as they wish, just like how people are letting you do your own part.
- when you are done with your part, post the image and add the person underneath your username on the list to your image, as well as pm them or post on here that they can draw. this is to keep the chain going.
- feel free to invite other users!!
- when doing your small detail, keep in mind other people want to color as well, please keep to one subject or a small area (for example; don't color the mountains and the sky in the same turn, color one mountain, or the entire sky, not both. adding clouds on top of the sky is perfectly fine.
- help us keep the layers tidy by renaming the layers you worked on so its easy to tell who did what (see scei's layers for example)
- moving around layers is fine as long as characters are still n the foreground and the background is in the back.
- don't merge all the layers together...
- no speech bubbles, the grey canine has one to mark the first part of the collab
- only add one of your characters to the drawing please! this is to make sure theres enough room for everyone!
- If you take longer then 5 days the collab is allowed to move on without you, however you can re-join at the bottom of list once you come back, that way we can keep the show going!
