what do they collect?: They collect shiny things! Anything from tin foil to shiny bottle caps, he loves it and collects it all! Currently, he keeps them all in a box under his bed. His favorites, however, he hangs by a string next to the window so that the light reflects on them. They're calming to Ellie, and he could sit and watch the bouncing lights forever.

what do they collect?: Lucia collects ice cubes. Of course, usually this doesn't work out but, she likes to imagine. Living in a place where it is very often below freezing, snow covers the ground nearly all year round. Unlike most of those she knows who are sick of the constant snow, Lucia decided to make the best of it and tries to press snow into ice cubes! Not real ice cubes, but once she's satisfied, Lucia brings them home and admires them until they melt.

what do they collect?

Luca says that she collects glass animals - she'll show them to you, a tiger ready to pounce, a dolphin swimming gracefully through translucent waves, a snail creeping up a flower stalk - but listen for a little longer and you'll learn that it's stories that she collects. There's a faraway look in her eyes as she talks of a boy as proud as a tiger and as sly as one, always waiting for the next heart to play with. A paw is brushed over the dolphin, remembering how she once outswam a storm, surging out of the water just as lightning sizzled and turned the sand of the other shore to glass. She considers the snail, traces the intricate spirals of its shell, but turns away and offers you a glass of lemonade instead - your own collection of stories will have to wait for another day.
