originally hailing from queens, ny, thomas had a fairly standard childhood. but when he was a youngster, his parents died in a plane accident, and he was left to live with his uncle ben and aunt may, the only two relatives he had left. as thomas grew, the young lad grew close with his uncle, until a robber shot uncle ben in cold blood. for years, tom had a hard time dealing with the great deal of sadness and depression that came along with the loss of his beloved uncle. so, he did what he could to help out with his widowed aunt,
