Gingerstar was feeling restless. There was no one to talk to, so she decided to take a walk. Maybe she'd run across a patrol.

As she padded through Riverclan's territory, she heard voices and went towards them. She first saw Lynxtooth next to Beaverpaw, and then saw Lilypool and Pikestream. What was going... Gingerstar's heart sank when she saw a body. Morningdove's body.

"We were wrong," she whispered, horrified. When Beaverpaw mentioned moving Morningdove's body, she nodded. "I'll help too," she said.

Lynxtooth nodded, solemnly.
He helped Beaverpaw pick up Morningdove's body, taking it back to camp. He was careful and gentle, making sure nothing happened to it. They slowly made their way back, and when they did, they set him in the center of camp. He sat next to Beaverpaw, mourning the warrior.
As the other warriors began to gather around, he mewed a few words in respect.
"Morningdove was an amazing and kind warrior. All he wished to do was train his apprentice and help his clan- may he forever rest in our hearts. He swims in the pools of Starclan now."
He couldn't help crying as he said those words.

This was a sad day for the clan, but he knew how it would end.

A cat would be exiled. It hurt to knew that they were wrong last time. What if they get it wrong again?

He intertwined his tail with Beaverpaw's, digging his claws into the ground.
It is my duty to protect my clan; and that is what I will do, until my last breath.

Once they were back at camp, Gingerstar spoke second. "Morningdove was a kind and dedicated warrior," she said. "He was a good friend and will be missed. Starclan is blessed to have such a warrior in their ranks." It hurt so much to have to say these words, and yet they were true. She also realized that Beaverpaw was now left without a mentor. While it seemed like such a petty concern, it was also necessary to make this announcement as quickly as possible. That way, other things could be taken care of more quickly. Such as rooting out the traitor. "Lynxtooth will continue Beaverpaw's training and I am confident that he will do as good a job as Morningdove." Gingerstar had noticed how close the two were, and believed that this would be best for both of them.

Lilypool walked with the rest, her head and tail down. Sighing, she laid next to Morningdove's body grieving.

As Breezefire woke up (late again), she hears the cries of her mentor and quickly rushes out. "Ohdearohdearwhathappenedtomoriningdoveisheok?" and runs to Lilypool's side and said, "Lilypool, what happened to him? Is he ok?" she asked, clearer this time. "Acorntail! Come here! Morningdove has left us!" she cried, not feeling like her regular self. She had never been too late to treat someone aside from what happened to Finchpelt and Morningdove. Remorse ran through her body, making her feel sick.

Galecloud sniffled, curling her tail around Chivekit and Brookkit. They were her only teathers to this world now, besides her brother. Oh, Finchpelt, why did you have to leave?!

Spiderstream woke up, looking up at the cloud and seeing clouds were gathering. It might rain soon. He stood up, realizing everyone was shooting him glances at muttering. Ahah, those idiots. Think it's me upon first glance. He thought as he licked his fur. He then decided to fetch some fresh-kill for the nursery, even though someone might have already.
