A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

It has been decades since the last war. Followers of the dark side are, by all meanings of the word, extinct and the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic thrive in this time of peace. However, the never ending cycle of dark vs light has begun again.

It began with a disturbance in the Force. It was subtle and elusive, but the Jedi Masters felt it all the same. Almost immediately, Jedi around the galaxy began to succumb to the dark side, leaving the Order for a mysterious master. With their numbers beginning to dwindle, the Order pulled away from Coruscant, choosing to remain on the newly rediscovered Jedi homeworld.

With the noble defenders of the galaxy reeling from the losses, the Republic has decided to take quick action against the threat, even though they don't know what they're looking for. Mercenaries, from common smugglers to resilient Mandalorians, have been hired to track down the source and remove it by any means necessary. But with so many fallen Jedi already, will it be enough?

    — Try to post at least three full sentences. I understand if you've got 'writer's block' or something, but try to do more than "He smiled and left." It's very hard for someone to reply to that.

    — I'm pretty lenient with curse words, but we must remember that this is a 'children's site' and we don't want to get in trouble. So if you must use those words, try to star them out. (Words like "Hell" and "damn" are okay.)

    — Please, don't kill another person's character unless you've asked for their and my permission first.

Soon after the Great Hunt ended, hyperlanes to Tython collapsed and the world was left abandoned for several centuries. Tython had not been forgotten, however; new hyperlanes into the Deep Core were paved by a Jedi Knight when members of the order began to fall. Sending Jedi scouts to reclaim the world, the Order reestablished a Jedi presence there, making Tython the Order's fortress world.

Korriban, known as Pesegam during the reign of Xim, and also known as Moraband by the time of the Clone Wars, is the sole planet in the Horuset system, located across the galaxy from Koros Major. It was the original homeworld of the Sith species and a sacred planet for the Sith Order, housing the tombs for many ancient and powerful Dark Lords of the Sith, and containing immense dark side power. It has since been abandoned by society because of the fall of the dark side followers, but it's been said that something on the planet is causing the Jedi to break apart.

Personality: Inferra has a very strong and utterly unshakable faith in the force, getting her through just about every situation. Due to the sheer gravity of her devotion to the force, she will often see the meaning behind a power and be able to relate it to the environment, the situation, and the people within it. She has a fine understanding of philosophy, and the force itself because of this devotion. Despite her Sith tendencies, she is a skilled mediator, increasing her ability to heal and find peace of mind, or focus when doing so. She is rigid in her thinking when following the letter of the law, or the code of a force group and when she feels they are not taking something important seriously, she can be cold and uncompromising with others. It doesn't make her many friends. Her devotion to her studies, duty, and ceremony rarely leaves time for much else, such as a personal life. She often gets lost in her subconscious when dreaming and deep, terrifying nightmares are a common occurrence, but give her glimpses of the future.

[ F R O M - T H E - B E G I N N I N G ]
History: A long time ago, Darth Inferra was known as Master Terana Fereze, a prominent member of the Jedi Council. Terana always felt strange doing the bidding of the light side, finding that many of the required rules of the Order led them to commit half-measures. She began to find that the ways of the Order were inefficient and slow. As she began to drift away from the code, she seemed to drift away from the Order as well. She spent far more time with her studies than with the rest of the council, becoming somewhat of a recluse in her own chambers. Terana began to fall from the light soon enough, eventually staging her own death by a tarentatek and fleeing Republic space to follow the will of the Force, leading her to Korriban. There, she explored tombs of long-dead Sith Lords, gathering their writings and research. At first, it was all for academics, but she soon found that the dark side connected to her more than the light ever had. It didn't take long for Terana to be pushed over line. She destroyed whatever remained of Master Terana, took on the mantle of Dark Lord and became Darth Inferra.

Home Planet: N/A , she was born in space.


[ O T H E R ]
Weapons: A scarlet, double-bladed lightsaber that spins on a circular hilt. The hilt is charcoal black, and the edges are sharpened into a blade.

Ship: The Shadow Caster solar sailer is a heavily-modified Punworcca 116-class interstellar sloop. Inferra's vessel is a unique mix of Geonosian engineering and pre-Republic Gree technology. The vessel is mainly piloted by automatic voice command and can travel through realspace and hyperspace.

The sloop is 15.2 meters long, 4.6 meters wide, and 4.8 meters deep. Like many Geonosian starships, it has two multifunctional bow prongs, with an orb-like cockpit module positioned between the two, and a crew hold at the stern of the craft. The dark surface hull of the solar sailer is composed of heavy metals that are rare on Geonosis.
The interior of the craft was tailored to Inferra's liking and was fitted with an extensive databook library, strategic chart displays, and sleeping quarters.

Lightly armed, the solar sailer carries rows of 84 narrow-beam tractor-repulsor emitters along the bow prongs that could act as offensive grapples. Additionally, the cockpit module could be replaced by a dedicated weapons or sensor orb if necessary, and the piloting controls routed to the main hold.

The most unique aspect of the Shadow Caster is its sail, an ancient Gree artifact supplied by Inferra herself. Unlike most solar sails, which unfurl to moon-like diameters and were pushed by tachyon streams or ultraviolet lasers, Inferra's unique sail has no discernible power source. The sail is composed of an exotic matter that reflects otherwise-undetectable supralight emissions, and achieves great performance across the entire galaxy with a much smaller diameter than most sails.

The solar sailer is also equipped with a conventional repulsorlift, and the tractor beam emitters along the bow prongs could serve as steering aids when there are surrounding objects to push and pull against. The spread of ray shield energies around the prongs could additionally be adjusted to provide extra mobility when in atmosphere.

Pets: No real pets, but she owns an astromech droid that she uses to infiltrate the Jedi sometimes.

Personality: Ziash can be described as "bubbly and goofy" but also “compassionate, edgy, and witty." Due to her constant moving around and fighting, Ziash has spent most of her life without much stability. She has developed a thick-skin, rarely trusting people, particularly authority figures. She often uses dry humor and sarcasm to distract and distance herself from situations and people that make her uncomfortable, or simply to lighten the mood during particularly stressful situations. Still, regardless of how protective she is of herself, Ziash often sees the best in other people. She can become very loyal to a cause once her trust is gained. However, should she be betrayed, that trust will disappear. She is capable of holding her own, and is good at improvising in stressful situations. True to her Mandalorian roots, she's not thrilled about working within the Republic's rules, but won't pass up a chance for a good fight.

History: Ziash was born on a Mandalorian-occupied Althir III, a planet right outside of the Republic's domain. She grew up alongside her Clan, remaining at the heart of Mandalorian tradition. She took part in many skirmishes in Republic territories, earning herself a small price on her head. However, she was relatively untouchable as long as she remained with her Clan. One day, they were celebrating their victory over another planet when their base on Althir III was attacked. Their enemies appeared to be other Mandalorians, though they didn't fight like them, and they were lead by what seemed to be a Jedi, though it fought with a ferocity that the Jedi would not approve of. The base was completely decimated, and Ziash's Clan was left honorless in the face of their peers. The Clan scattered, and Ziash departed with her family to lay low for some time. But as the threat of the Sith became more public, Ziash was able to connect the dots. She dropped everything to take on the job of ending the Sith, intending to bring honor back to her Clan.

Ship: Built for combat, the rare, compact-framed D5-Mantis is a best-in-class patrol craft, designed to compete with—and meet the demands of—much larger starships, such as Interdictor-class cruisers.

The vessel utilizes three retractable armament foils with independent power supplies, allowing it to safely use weapons meant for larger vessels. The foils also significantly reduce the ship's profile, allowing it to land or dock in more confining spaces than other ships would be able to use. A surprising number of D5-Mantis patrol crafts could, therefore, be tightly packed into carrier ships, presenting a nasty surprise to enemy vessels.

The D5-Mantis engineers also made extensive use of a vertically economical interior design to condense and fully utilize space. The vessel's small bulkheads accommodated large, open areas and improved the ease of maintenance. Ziash's Mantis is named Mir'osik, which is Mando'a for "dung for brains". She chose this name for no real reason other than to confuse those who understand it.

      appearance: a waifish, androgynous figure, arikie stands at about nine and a half feet overall. it's skin is a glowing white, hued with a yellow, intense to the extent where it's incredibly hard to make out arikie's features. it has short, cropped silver-blonde hair, milky grey eyes, and no visible marks marring it's skin. six blade-shaped wings jut out of arikie's back, allowing for flight. for the most part the diathim wears customized version of the standardized medical uniform, to allow for it's wings to hang freely.

      personality: as typical of it's race, arikie comes off as a benevolent creature, who practically radiates an aura of kindness. it is a peaceful creature, and would much rather be working in the temple as a healer, or serve as a medical personnel on a frigate than throw itself into bloody, crude conflict. within the order, arikie is a constant voice of reason, given it's cool, levelheaded temperate. it's natural passiveness is both a blessing and a curse, and arikie often stalls off from engaging in physical fights for as long as physically able, a process which can occasionally get others harmed in the process. it is incredible curious by nature, and finds itself easily distracted by unimportant, but showy things.

      appearance: winmurr is rather average. his height, weight, and physique, while not lacking, certainly aren't anything that would stand out in a crowd of human-like 'noids. he has tanned skin, crisscrossed with a variety of scars, burns, and whatnot picked up over his years of bounty hunting. winmurr's chestnut hair is short and sheared close to his scalp, curling naturally around his plate. for the most part, winmurr wears a pair of worn grey trousers, a white shirt, and a new[er] navy jacket with white trims.

      personality: the bounty hunter comes off as bold and brutish, wielding a sharp tongue that often lands him in trouble. when he actually slows down to think about what he's saying, winmurr has a chance of being charisma. unfortunately, he's the sort of act first, think later, which isn't too helpful in deals requiring one to stop and think. through the business, winmurr has learned to think quickly on his feet, and to place where little trust in those you don't pay wealthily. he's not one to form alliances with other mercenaries, believing they're all fighting for resources in a world that has very little to offer.

Appearance: Thirteen is of average height, relatively slim, with shoulder-length red hair and vibrant green eyes. Her cybernetics take the form of small silver implants that stretch from each of her ears to the corners of her mouth and just above her eyebrows. She typically wears a sleek black uniform consisting of almost skintight pants and a two-tone shirt, with a belt that houses various gadgets and weapons, and several different cartridges strapped to her upper arms.

Personality: Thirteen is shrewd, cynical, and professional to a fault, always seeing her job through to completion, regardless of how difficult it may seem. Unlike most bounty hunters, she's not interested purely in money, nor does she ascribe to any of the typical Mandalorian ideals. She does her work out of a desire for order, a need to maintain the status quo. All these Jedi and Sith trying to change the galaxy just amount to so much whining and bellyaching, when in her mind things are just fine the way they are.

Despite her calm outward demeanor, Thirteen has a rather chaotic mind. Most of her memories have been lost to her, and she suffers from frequent delusions and hallucinations. She harbors a resentment for both Jedi and Sith, as well as a bit of a prejudice towards non-humans. She doesn't really know why, either, it just feels right.

History: Thirteen's history begins when she was thawed from a carbonite block a group of traders found drifting in space. She doesn't really remember who she was before that, though she must have been frozen for a long time. The unfreezing process nearly killed her; even now she's still feeling some of the after effects.

The traders were planning to make some money off of her by selling her as a slave, but their plans were swiftly foiled when Thirteen killed them all. Alone in the galaxy, with nothing but a name and a few vibroknives, Thirteen resorted to the only thing she knew how to do: killing people. She quickly made a name for herself in the bounty hunting field, becoming known for her skill in stealth and infiltration, and it was these skills that got her hired by the republic. For some reason, working for them left a bad taste in her mouth, but Thirteen's curiosity overcame her moral reluctance.

As well as a blaster pistol for a sidearm. Her deadliest weapons, however, are the Twin vibroknives strapped to her thighs. In addition to being incredibly sharp, the blades are magnetically charged, allowing Thirteen to both deflect blaster bolts and party lightsaber blows. She also has a gas-powered dart launcher strapped on her left wrist, with several darts containing various chemicals and poisons strapped to her arm. Her belt holds several different varieties of grenades, as well as a prototype stealth generator. Thirteen's implants allow her to manipulate her vital signs, allowing herself to become invisible to most scanners and sensors.

Ship: The Infinity's Edge is an experimental prototype based on the old X-70B model, appropriated by Thirteen after she killed its test pilot. Though it's still without most of its more advanced features, it was still designed as an infiltration craft, and thus features improved speed and handling, as well as a hull composed entirely of stealth plating.[/list]
