Lynxtooth yawned as he awoke, noticing it was quite late in the day. He made his way out of the den, his ears perked. "Morningdove," He mewed as he saw the tom heading for the apprentice den, quickening his pace. "Taking Beaverpaw out for training?" The young tom flicked his tail, "Mind if I join you?". He hoped it wasn't obvious that he was jealous that Morningdove got Beaverpaw as his apprentice; Lynxtooth had wanted his first apprentice to be someone he was close to, which is Beaverpaw, but to his dismay that wasn't the case.

Gingerstar woke with a yawn. After stretching, she padded outside and nodded with approval. "Lynxtooth," she called. "Could you lead a patrol?" The day really needed to get started, and a morning patrol would be perfect.

Lynxtooth stopped in his tracks, turning to face the leader, who was across the camp. "Hold that thought." He mewed to Morningdove, making his way into the center of camp. He dipped his head to Gingerstar, then proceeded to call out the cats going on patrol with him. "Spiderstream, Morningdove, Finchpelt, and Beaverpaw, you're going on morning patrol with me." The tom twitched his tail, dipping his head to the already awake warriors. He noticed that Finchpelt hadn't appeared at the call, and he turned towards the warriors den.
"Has anyone seen Finchpelt?"

Hearing a commotion going on outside his sleeping quarters Beaverpaw went to investigate. Poking his nose out into the warm sunlight he noticed cats bustling about preparing for the morning patrol. With a soaring heart he immediately recognized Lynxtooth taking up the position as head of said patrol. As much as he'd have loved to dash over and immediately volunteer himself over to Lynxtooth, Beaverpaw had other priorities. "Good morning Morningdove," Beaverpaw greeted his mentor, stepping out of the den in front of the tom who seemed to have been waiting for him, "Are we going training today or--" Just then Beaverpaw perked up catching a wisp of his name being uttered. "Patrol! Morningdove can we go?" Beaverpaw shot a pleading look at his mentor. Maybe he could hang out with Lynxtooth after all!! It felt so good to confide in someone he knew so well. As cool and absolutely epic it was to have Morningdove as a mentor Beaverpaw didn't feel as close to the tom as he did Lynxtooth - He was afterall much closer to Beaverpaw's age!

(Yeah Winter, just go with the majority. >.> tbh I could also see it as Gingerstar or Willowstorm, got that "up/down" personality. Maybe even Spiderstream.)

"Huh?" Flarestone says sleepily, realizing that Morningdove woke her. In a flash, she's on her paws and alert as she remembers why. The bouncy ginger-and-white newly made warrior bounds over to the apprentice den. Even though Flarestone was made a warrior barely a few moons ago, she already has an apprentice! "Dustpaw!" she says, poking her head inside.

Dustpaw was curled in his nest in a ball, snoring softly. Dustpaw! Flarestone's voice had him blinking open his eyes, a huge yawn parting his jaws. "You interrupted my dream!" He complained.

Antnose listened to the morning patrol call and was disappointed to hear that she wasn't in it. She heard Lynxtooth ask about Finchpelt, but she assumed he was still sleeping.
(Didn't have much time today... sorry.)

The tom sighed. If Finchpelt didn't want to go, he could just say it.. The tom looked around the camp with a sigh. He didn't know the warrior to dodge going on patrol.
"Let's head out. If Finchpelt wakes up, please let him know that I'd like to speak to him later."

With a flick of his tail, his made his way over to the entrance to start the patrol.

Gingerstar growled. Finchpelt should know better, but maybe he was just that tired. She could give him a chewing out later. Let him rest.

"Alright," she called. "Antnose will lead the first hunting patrol and Flarestone can lead the second." Maybe Dustpaw will actually learn something, she thought. No apprentice should be lazy, much less a warrior.
