@Peachy: It depends on your writing style and how easy you feel it is to differentiate characters! I do it mostly so that I remember what pelt color everyone is and to differentiate them, but I technically don't need to because I double space all paragraphs. Ex:
"blah blah blah"
"blah blah blah" so and so replied.
They did this.
If you were to use different colors for different characters, what colors would you choose and why?

I also do the double spacing thing, but I still kind of want to do the colors. If I was doing a conversation between more than two characters, though, that would be useful. I think I would choose colors that I feel would be right for their personality and stuff. I might use it to kind of hint about who is evil or good or whatever.

I use colours to show personality :0 like,, I use a warm colour (orange) for Heathersway because she's a generally warm cat, a pink for Tigertail because that's what I normally associate with a hyper and cheerful person. Well, I think I associate that more with yellow, but I didn't want to get confused between Heather and Tiger. For Minnowstar I just use the same blue I used when I introduced my clan :p

@dinolil
Seeing as we both have up-lands type sorts of clans, if you want an enormous list of suitable names for that, feel free to PM me about it. Warning: It is very long, but it'd probably save a ton of time on your part.
Given about 20% of the moorland on earth is based in the UK, it's reasonable to assume my lake-district UK names should suit Moorclan (more reasonable than having to list for all the countries which only have, like, 0.5% of the moorland, anyway).
I'm happy to mark out unique names within that as well... seeing as they're separate lists already within my master list.
...I spent a while doing this instead of revising a few weeks ago. Hurrah for being productive.
It's got everything other than beetles (there was a list of about 4,000 species that I found and that's enough to make even me and my thoroughness go "no thanks, I'll just be closing this") that Gustclan is likely to meet, basically, so it's probably at least vaguely helpful to clans likely to be in similar territories.
