1. What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 8 months ago, do not apply)
- 23 Sep 2008
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
- 1259
3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the first post again)
- To be honest, I'm turning 18 next year, but no mature content bothers me at all, nor do bad words and I'm sure there won't be any problem.
4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
-I'm here everyday. Even when there is a problem with my computer, I try to log in from my mobile.
5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
-Usually around 4 hours or more. On busy days, I might log in 2-3 times for 10 minutes each just to check things. I mostly lurk and not post, though.
6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
- No, I was asked to be a moderator of a sport site of a friend, but since I had no knowledge of sport, I declined.
7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
- My mother language isn't English (if you even consider me as a mod, I just had to point this out. I'm going to graduate FCE soon.) I want to be a mod on chicken smoothie for several reasons. First, I've been around here for a long time, and I think I can anwer to almost any questions, and try to help. I know all the basic forum rules, and I like solving problems. Second, as cliche as it sounds, it's been one of my dreams to be a mod on CS. I've always wanted to be part of the community, help other users. I think I am quite friendly, I never snap at other people, and I love to follow the rules. I haven't spent much time on CS lately because I have nothing to do here except lurking on the forums, but if I get to be a mod, I'll take the job a lot more seriously, and do everything I can to keep the community safe and child-friendly. I am also really patient and would never attack a person. I'll just warn them quietly. I would really want to have the chance of being a moderator on here. It's a clean forum, and I want to keep it that way. The only thing I am afraid of is locking threads, because sometimes I feel like I will lock something that isn't needed to, or keep something unlocked when I had to lock it. But I think I will get used to it.
8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
- I've been drawing for 4 years, and I can notice when a picture is traced or refferenced from, and with all the lurking around I can check a lot of threads to see if the art isn't stolen from somewhere or taken without giving credit.
- I've been on CS for a long time, and I think I can manage it.
- I know Bulgarian fluently, and it is close to Macedonian and Russian, and half of the time I understand these languages, but I am not good in speaking them. I've also been studying English for the past 7 years. Last year I started learning Italian, although I know pretty much nothing in that language.
- I like talking with other people, and try to avoid conflicts whenever I can.

I understand I have a lot of flaws and you probably won't pick me, but I just wanted to say thanks for reading this and considering me. It's been my dream for a long time to help the CS community and be part of the site, and I love the fact that you gave me a chance to try.

April, 2023: I've been busy with real life recently, so I haven't had much time for CS. However, hopefully I will be back soon! In the meantime, I wish everyone great days ahead, and thank you all for over a decade of fun and lovely memories! <3

# What date did you register as a CS member?: March '09
# How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): Erm, around 9297
# Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: Although I am a tad under 18, I am willing to see adult content - I pretty much do every day ^_^
# How many days a week do you usually visit CS? - 7
# How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Usually around 6 on weekdays, and on weekends pretty much all day. (12pm - 3am x3)
# Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: I've moderated some chatrooms before, but most of the forums I've moderated died. So at the moment, no.
# Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I want to be a moderator for CS to keep it clean, and suitable for all ages. I am not a "blunt" moderator - who will put things bluntly and some people will mistake for rudeness, I'll try to be nice but fair when explaining a board warning, and I`m up for a debate if they don't believe it's fair. Usually people exploading at me will not affect me in the slightest - I look after two babies who freak out when I turn the TV off, so I'm pretty used to it. I'd adore to help out the CS community, and it will give me something to do apart from just lurk here. I'm rather active on the forums, and I'd like to give off an approachable vibe; I can give off a bit of a motherly/peacemaker vibe. Often things do not bother me - a PM full of anger at me will likely just recieive a calm responce, or no responce at all. I've been here for a long while, so I think I can answer basic questions and help newer members too. My little brother plays here, so I do have a personal reason for joining, I'd like to keep him safe here. Adult content does not bother me in the slightest, I think I've seen worse on some of the sites I go onto.
My weakness is art theft; since I am not one to explore things like deviantart, and I can't tell when something is stolen.
# Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position: Sorry, I cannot speak any language apart from English. I am a rather good debator and I take debating classes though x3.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?:
I joined on Mon Sep 22, 2008.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
3166 posts in total.
3.Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
I am not over 18. But mature enough not to make a big deal out of it and I don't mind seeing adult images, or language to help monitor the site so its safe for all ages. But I am not offended when I look at those pictures.

4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I visit CS everyday of the week unless I am on vacation but I do check while on vacation.5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? When it is weekends or vacations from school the WHOLE day. During school days from the time I get home from school which is 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
If you mean other websites, I manage my own which is Lucky Desserts. And the link can be found here: http://luckydesserts.freeforums.org/portal.php I help mod some forums like Chry's graphics thread.

7.Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
Well, I love CS dearly. I help around the site and help people. I don't mind helping anyone and not let my personal feelings take over my action when it comes to a job. Plus, when I first came here I fell in love with CS. So I am willing to help anyway to support CS in any way I can. Since CS is for all ages and safe for all age I would like to maintain that. I noticed almost everyone enjoy CS very much. Also, I am not the type of people who will say things that will people will mistake for rudeness or being mean. I say specifically what I mean.

8.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I am fluent in English, Vietnamese, and learning: Japanese, Spanish, and French. I am great with dealing with arguments and enforcing rules (I'm very strict about that.) but I can deal with any job you give me. I am good with people of any age that needs help. I can tell when something is stolen and I found two stolen avatars and reported to Tyr about this issue.

...have previously had warnings for bullying, fighting, cheating, or art theft; unless these warnings were later cleared by a staff member, happened a long time ago, or were not particularly serious (e.g. forgot to credit a reference properly)

Well.... I don't kow. But when I was creating characters. I had no idea it was going to look like another's character. I just wanted a pastel dog colors so I happened to chose those colors. But that happened a while back so yeah.

I'll edit my form once school is over.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
    Fri Nov 06, 2009
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
    4674
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
Yes, I have no personal issues with such content.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I'd have to say at least four days a week.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Generally, at least 2 or more hours at a time.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
    No.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
I absolutely enjoy my current position as a General Helper, and I always wish I could to more. If I had more abilities I feel I would be a good asset when it comes to directing and helping the members of Chicken Smoothie and in the other duties the position would require of myself.
Watching the growth of the site and it's members is really wonderful, and being a part of that is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I feel I would be very efficient in this position, as I already try to report posts as necessary, and guide members as I see need be.
If I were to obtain this position, I would still try to do my best to continue the duties of a General Helper. If the position warrants me to time to do so of course.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
Skills that I could bring to the position are: Efficiency, a calm friendly manner, respectful and professional ways and familiarity with the site and forum areas.

Thank you for any consideration of my application ^_^

Sorry if I've worried anyone. I'm not dead, just too busy to do my usual leisure activities online. Real life always catches up with you lol.
If you have any questions please ask another one of our awesome General Helpers

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
Sun Feb 07, 2010 11:05 am

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
2720

3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
I believe you have my age recorded(If not, I'll be more than happy to PM it to a Mod/Admin) - and yes, I am more than willing. <3

4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every day, multiple times.

5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
I can't be 100% positive, since I come on/off multiple times, but I would estimate about 1.5 - 3 hours every day

6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
No, unless being one of a handful of mini-mods on various CS threads counts. ^^; I'll throw in my "hibernating" art shop thread here, if that provides what you're looking for: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=231243

7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
Hmm, how to sum this up? xD Well, I love CS for what it is, a safe site where clean art is encouraged and loved. I've been hoping applications would open for moderator/artist positions for a long time, as I feel it would provide me with an opportunity to keep CS as open as it was for me to new members, and perhaps learn to better myself in the process. I believe I can provide what you're looking for: a person who is willing to enforce the rules(even if rule-breakers try and "bite back"), that wants to help the site grow, and who will remain neutral and unbiased to the best of their ability.

Besides which, I love the color green. 8D

8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I have had some experience in peer mediation/counseling. I would not call myself a master by any means, but I would say that, from experience and the grace of God, I know how to keep my head in a frustrating situation. I can also look at the multiple faces of a dispute when deciding what course of action to take.

I truly hope to be considered, and that the most qualified applicants make it in!

Re: Global Moderators - Now Hiring! READ BEFORE POSTING

Postby .:OboeLove:. » Sat Mar 12, 2011 8:30 am

My Application

1. What date did you register as a CS member?:
My first account was started on August 18th(I believe, it was about midway/late in August), and this account was created on Tuesday, November Ninth. Yes, I have people that will say I was here, people that I RPed with.

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
2,179 posts.

3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
Yes, I am a few years above the age limit and willing to risk seeing adult content, it doesn't bother me much.

4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Seven days a week when I have internet, I do take trips to visit my father when he gets sick, where I have no internet, but usually never for more than a week.

5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? S
unday-Thursday I am on from 6:30-7:20 AM and 3:15-10:00 PM, a total of about 7 hours 35 minutes. On Friday and Saturday I am on about from 12:00PM-6:00AM, a total of 18 hours(pitiful, no? x3)

6. Have you moderated on any other forums before?
Yes. I am currently an admin/coder on
RatsAndUs a site that has not started yet, and I used to be a Moderator on Horse Isle 1 until I had to quit due to personal reasons and being put in the hospital for operation.

7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
I want to be a moderator on CS well... Simply because of what everyone else has said. This is the first site that I have kept with for more than a year, that I still love. I have watched it grow and expand, gone through numerous fun holidays and updates. I know how happy this site makes some people--especially the kids--and I want to make sure it is a good, positive learning environment. I think that CS is something that kids look forward to after school, a place to socialize(which is vary important) safely, and make new friends. For myself and other adults, I know that after a day of work, a peaceful environment is something you need and with CS's growing population, more mods are needed to maintain this. I want to make sure there is no art theft and the site is not stressful. I know that I would never want any child to see inappropriate images, or read mature content, until they were legal adults.

8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required)
I am advanced in English, fluent in Danish, and currently know the basics of French, German and Spanish. I am also taking lessons to improve my French. I was a moderator to a very popular site with many members, and often had to have long conversations with people to calm them down. I don't insult people and I know how to stay calm. Under pressure is when I work the best, and I have an ability to remember things(such as rules). I don't have the urge to be 'alpha' or a controller, but even as a mod I would view myself as no better than a regular member, and I am good at cheering people up. I also came from a school were the teachers did not act as they should and insulted instead of helped students, so I can help a kid calm down if they feel they are being mistreated. I am the third child of four in my family and hated it when my younger brother got more attention than me, so I have taken classes to learn to be calm and not biased.
This is Sarasota, my Delukir. I can not thank .: | January | :. Enough for making her, she's so perfect to me in every way! So click on Saratosa if you want your own amazing Deluki, and contact me if you wish to join the RP.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
April 29, 2010

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
930

Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
I am old enough and don't mind the risk.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I'm on just about every day.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
Anywhere from 2 to 5 or so. Sometimes, I'm rather on and off throughout the day, but I'd estimate about two hours a day at minimum.

I have a long time ago, but they were pretty small RP communities. Sadly, I don't think I could remember how to find them if they even still exist.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
I like the community here and it'd be nice to give something back. Especially with my little sister playing now, even if she doesn't come online much. I'd like to keep her safe, as well as other younger kids.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
Nothing that great - I've done my share of peer mediation and people do tend to come to me for help solving conflicts. I'm really good at just hearing people out and not being biased, so I suppose I'm sorta good at that sort of thing. I'm not fluent, but I do speak some German. I can basically understand what's being said, but if it's a deep conversation, I'm lost.
