Murderers in Riverclan V.2 [Roster Update 10/30]

Rosetail is pacing. She has a feeling it wasn't Briarthorn, but how could she have disobeyed Foxstar by refusing to be on the escorting patrol? At least she could make sure the queen and her kits were safe as they left. She sighs and looks up at the brightening sky. She should decide who's going to be on what patrol.
All six of the cats left, that is.
She's torn from her thoughts when Sepiapads yowls in fury and springs at some cat. It takes the deputy a moment to realize she's attacking her sister and she mentally groans. "Sepiapads! Stop!" she calls, moving to defend her sister.

Flattening herself down the scared warrior attempted to ball herself up to avoid the flurry of claws. Eyes wide in fear Shadowfeather didn't even notice that her sister was trying to help.

Her claws snagged on long, dark fur, and Sepiapads' mind went blank. All she registered was the flesh beneath her claws, the screams of somecat, and the strong feeling that she was doing something wrong; but none of it stopped her. Only when the deputy's voice echoed her name did her mind jolt back into function- ...I've just attacked one of my clanmates. The tabby leaped away from Shadowfeather, her claws still unsheathed. She deserved this, she exiled Briarthor- No! Sepiapads, look what you have done! You're going to be next because of this! And where will that put Briarthorn? ...I can go find her. The warrior lifted her chin, her gaze defiantly resting on Rosetail. "You didn't stop them. We all know that my sister would not be capable of hurting a fly, much less attacking and murdering one of her own clanmates. And you allowed her to go!" She spat the last words, but couldn't help feeling spikes of regret for the rivets of red along the black longhair's pelt.

"You're not the only cat who's lost a sibling!" Rosetail's voice cracks, her mind flitting to Lilypool. "Don't hurt this Clan more. That's the last thing we need."

Breezefire pads out of her den. Why did everybody vote for her? Why would she kill her own sister? She didn't understand. All the screaming about what happened when her sister died and what happened right before her eyes made her dizzy. Wait, right now? That was concerning. What was happening? She looked where the screaming came from (she didn't really have to though, it was right in front of her), and there it was.

Cats from the same clan battling. Something she could never think of: Why battle, and if battle, WHY YOUR OWN CLAN???!! Breezefire was too scared to confront the fighting pair, if they couldn't hear her, they might continue fighting. She shivered at the thought and walked to the grave area for her sister and close relative. She couldn't say a word, but she started crying for her loss of her only family in Riverclan. She would still cling on to her sister and her sister's kit.

Breezefire finally stopped crying and tore herself away from the burials. She slowly walked back to camp.

Shadowfeather didn't know if she could move quick enough, tripping over her paws as the warrior ducked behind Rosetail. Worried that Sepiapads wished to kill her the she-cat flinched at every movement, unable to form words without breaking down.

The brown tabby hissed. "You're sister was killed! Not wrongly exiled when we all knew there was no way she could have done it!" Sepiapaws lowered her head, her eyes still narrowed. "She wasn't the only cat you love." The last words were almost a whisper. Sepiapaws shook her head, as if throwing those thoughts away. "You have more family to love! Briarthorn was all I had! And I know she didn't do it!" Her voice rose with each word, until Sepiapads was screaming. Briarthorn had been her tie to sanity- before she ever did something, it was always Will Briarthorn be ok with this? Would Briarthorn approve? Will this reflect badly on my sister? She had been Sepiapads' everything. And now that everything was gone. Foxstar may have birthed Sepiapads, but she felt no connection to Riverclan's leader. None. The only cat who truly felt like her own blood was now gone.

"I don't think she did either, but attacking someone else is not okay," Rosetail says. "I'm going to talk to Foxstar about this, but in the meantime, I think you need to calm down. Go rest in the elder's den. I'll have Softwing keep you company."
