Ice was in awe that the little kit would be courageous enough to protect his own mother, even though she committed so many cimes. She replied to Leaf, "Leaf, I know. But she has hurt the feelings of other cats as well. Yes, I know she is angry, but the tribe is angry at her, including me. Of course, I am not going to hurt her... I want to resolve things without violence. Does that sound alright to you, young one?" Ice liked talking to kits. They are all so young and innocent, barely ready to see the whole world for themselves. When Ice heard Fading's remark, she replied, "Fading, please don't start a battle. If you do, then we won't have the chance to formally address the accusations." She said the last part quietly so that Little wouldn't hear what she said. Ice hoped that her words went through with Leaf and Fading.

Leaf was confused. "i-oh-en?" he questioned. He turned back to see his mother. He looked at her claws. He looked back to see his own paws. Then he changed his view to look at the sky. "oh ee hah hoh i cwaa!" he mumbled to himself, purring slightly. "whe ih iye cwaa?" he sighed, looking at his paws. He glanced up at Ice for about two seconds, then looked at his paws again and unsheathed little needles out of his paws. "I OUN EH!!!!" He squealed with surprise, purring loudly like a vacuum.
