Re: Global Moderators - Now Hiring! CLOSING SOON!

What date did you register as a CS member?: Fri Sep 26, 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 784
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: Yes I certainly am.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: I visit CS multiple times a day.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Depending what I'm doing I can be on for 2 or more hours, or less than 5 minutes if I'm just checking in very quickly.
Have you moderated on any other forums before?: No I have not but I do believe I am mature enough and capable of doing a good job as one.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I believe this job would be a wonderful experience for myself. I love to help others with questions and am not afraid reinforcing rules and keep the peace. I also have a calm manor to deal with those who have broken any rules. I have, in a couple rare occasions, had to reinforce my own rules in some threads I have made. Though minor I still like to have order and reduce spam if I can. Also I have always been inspired by the moderators on this site. I have always looked up to them and wanted to be calm and assertive like they are. I try to, like them, stay calm and not let things bother me even if they are offensive.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position:? I don't think I'm unique enough bring anything incredibly special to this position but if it's worth anything I am a rather kinda and VERY patient person. I can deal with an outraged person in a calm manor and do not lash out back to them. I'm not afraid of being judged or afraid of having a few enemies. I don't like it when one is rude to another and judged unfairly and am not afraid to state so and but them in their place without, of course being rude and getting into an argument myself. Though my speech isn't long and fancy like some of these applications I don't think one has to make a huge speech just to stand out.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to read and review my application. Even if I'm not chosen I thank you for giving me this opportunity and look forward to seeing the results of everyones efforts.

Good luck everyone!

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: cca 5 hours or more.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them Yup, I'm moderator on Czech CS forum then i'm mini-mod in some threads :)
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? Because I really want help you with this amazing site. I saw lot of spams and rude posts. I think this should me nice and friendly place and I want help you with that. And then, I'm here always and I will be happy if I can do more here :) I'll really enjoy moderating. I promise I'll be nice, kind, friendly and fair. I will use my brain :D I don't want be mod just for colored name, I want do it for you, cs and cs users. I will enjoy answering questions from users which need help.

This is my biggest dream, so I'll do anything for it. Really. I will work as hard as I can.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?) Well, I'm really friendly (many users told me that :D) I love helping, I often helps in FFT thread and by PM. I'm fair. I'm using my brain before I do something. I also speak czech, polish, english, bit spanish... I have lot of time for CS and moderating. I can decide quickly and usually correctly. I do not tolerate any corruption. I know a lot of CS so I can answer (I hope) all questions. I will not fly off the handle. Almost nothing makes me mad or angry. I'm mostly happy and nice. I don't want me moderator, just for custom pet or etc. I will love my job, and that's important. Well, I have one warning, but it was mistake, so I'm really sorry about it :( It's been a long time and I was very learned.

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: January 8th 2010.

2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 9758.

3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: I won’t lie in saying I am 18 or over because I am not but I am being truthful when I say I am mature enough to handle adult-like things but I also understand if you prefer an adult took the job.

4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? I try to get on every day unless I have school or family commitments.

5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Lately it has only been around half an hour but it is usually around 2-3 hours, 2-6 on weekends and holidays.

6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them No but I am willing to take up the challenge.

7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I would like to be a moderator for Chicken Smoothie for the sole purpose of making the current moderator’s lives easier. If there are more moderators who do their job as well as the ones we have, or better (which I find unlikely since the mods we have are great at their job,) then they don’t have to stress too much and the forums will be much cleaner. It may also help that I like to frequent the forums anyway, becoming bored most the time I am online and just sitting there – instead of wasting my time, I would love to use the spare time I have on CS to moderate and help make the place much better for the members here.

8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) I am not very skilled in any other language except English, which I am proud to say is my best subject at school, but I am a very social person who is easy to approach and has an ocean full of patience that I think would come in handy when being a moderator – like if I had to break up a fight on the forums or with the steady stream of PM’s that I am sure Moderator’s get daily. I guess also the fact that I have so much time and patience has helped me mature since I first joined CS and I would like to advise others here on how to act more mature so you don’t get banned for a silly reason.

I am aware that I have received a couple messages from moderators, I don’t remember exactly how many or what they were about but it was back when I was a newbie and didn’t understand things much – I also admit to being quite an annoying brat to some moderators and I apologise. I also received a warning recently about ‘art theft’ but it was a sincere accident and has been taken care of.
I know I am not as popular and well-known as others who are applying but I am hard-working when it comes to thinks I like and I love CS.
Good luck to everyone else and may the odds be forever in your favour!

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: December 01, 2008.
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply) 1388
3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: Yes.
4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? About two days if I'm sort of banned due to grades, a full week if not, if there's school. All day if vacation.
5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? About one or two on a school day, five or more on weekends and vacation.
6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them. I'm sorry, no.
7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I'd like to help out the other mods, as well as keep the peace and have justice on CS. As simple as that.
8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I speak Filipino, if that helps. I'm efficient in grammar (I constantly have to correct my friends' papers) as well as language, but not so that I memorize the full rules of the subject-verb agreement. I don't think twice about helping people, which is as much as a weakness because I'm sort of softhearted. :D I am just; I've had a lot of bad goings in that category (in some long time in my life I didn't get it), and I'd like to do that for others. I try to look in two sides of an argument, but sometimes I'd need help. I'm not lawyer or anything, but I like to help out.

Good luck to everyone, and I quote: 'May the odds be in your favor!'

  2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 8706
  3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: Yes, I admit I am younger than 18. But I believe I can view it maturely and calmly.

What date did you register as a CS member?: October 23, 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 2467 posts
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: No, but I am willing.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: Every single day unless something comes up.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: 1-3 I'll always have it open, however.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: No.
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I've always wanted to be a moderator, ever since I joined. A rather minor dream of mine, however, very important to me. I've always wanted to help make CS even greater than it already is. I am really annoyed by how much spam is on the site and I'd really like to help get rid of it. Also to keep this site family friendly as well.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?): I can speak Spanish almost fluently and I'm leaning Italian, French, German, and Latin along side, just for fun. I've also been the Switzerland of my friends and classmates, being the party who is always willing to hear both sides of the story and help work things out and keep things happy and avoiding conflict.

1.What date did you register as a CS member?
October 30th, 2009

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying)?
1,105

3.Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval?
I am not eighteen. I have two reliable jobs, help my mother pay for rent, pay for my own needs, and take care of my two dogs, and five rats. I have always been mature for my age. "Adult content" does not bother me in the slightest. This will probably hurt my chances, but you asked me to be honest, and there it is.

4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Seven. :3

5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
At least an hour, often up to five hours at a time.

6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them.
No, I have not.

7.Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
I am online on average seven days a week, and I feel I can be a huge help to CS by being here when other moderators are not. Since I am present so often and because I love ChickenSmoothie so much I want to be more involved, and this is my golden opportunity... if you will. X3

8.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I am very experienced in dealing with children, I work occaisionally at a pre-school as a substitute, and can probably be very relatable, understandable, and respectable to a younger player.

Usually every day, but I have a life so things do come up sometimes but not often.

About 3, but it depends on the day of the week. Weekends I spend about 4.

I have but they have been deleted. They were deleted because people gave up on them so they deleted it.
