I just love how everyone gets all tense when a warrior and an apprentice/kit are mentioned in the same sentence (which has no fighting or deaths).

Let's be honest, I'm sure some of you guys liked Firepaw and Spottedleaf in the first book, or Crowpaw and Feathertail in Moonrise.

Even Dovewing was an apprentice when she got in a relationship with Tigerheart.

1. I found FireXSpotted to be overall an one-sided crush from Firepaw //who literally just met her//. But then Spottedleaf apparently got interested as well after she died?
2. I lowkey prefer Crowfeather and Leafpool (because Leafpool is one of my favorite cats and she does not deserve to be treated like dirt after all that) than him and Feathertail.
3. I could care less with Dovewing's love life.

I only gave those examples because I knew they were relatively popular among fans (especially CrowXFeather and DoveXTiger). I mean, if I really wanted to press further with other ships, I could list off BrambleXSquirrel and JayXHalfMoon (although this one is a bit more of a gray area?)

Not weird at all that you ship them. My friend irl loves this pairing. The part of wanting him to die was a bit sudden though, haha. He's also one of my faves, but I don't want him to leave quite yet. We need that grumbling med. cat in the clan or it'll get boring really quickly. And I don't know how to feel about his death after reading Holly's... TT-TT

I HATE leafXcrow.they have no chemistry... it's like "oH you saved me so now i love you forever" It's not right. Just as featherXcrow or NightXCrow don't have any chemistry. At least when firepaw saved sandpaw (when she was going to roll into the gorge I believe?) It's "You saved me. I respect you." (SPOILER WARNING)LeafXCrow: "You saved me. Now I love you. FeatherXCrow: "Oh your pretty and we're going to the Sundrown place together. I love you." NightXCrow: "Oh I just was disloyal by being with Leafpool. Now I need to prove my loyalty by getting a new mate, because that's the best way to be loyal, right? Oh, when my kit is born, I realize I don't like him. Then when hollyleaf says I'm her father, I say I only have one son, and that son is Breezepelt! Then, during the great battle, Breezepelt attacks my PRECIOUS Lionblaze, so I attack him and scare him off. I'm the best father ever!" I hate all those ships. I also hate Gray X silver. She thinks being with him is doing nothing wrong. She also thinks if Fireheart tells, because she's the leaders daughter, she can lead a troop of warriors to attack fireheart and keep it a secret. Wow.

to be fair, silverstream and graystripe were pretty much fresh out of the apprentice's den when they started to meet, of course they were real irresponsible about their relationship lol. and leafpool and crowfeather really.. didnt.. have any buildup to them? there was a part out of nowhere where leaf says 'wow crow's handsome' and bam theyre just immediately attracted to each other? the erins really rushed it there imo

I actually forgot a lot on The New Prophecy series because I didn't like that series as much as the two series that came afterwards. I'm looking back at what I wrote and now I'm wondering if I like CrowXLeaf because their offspring are my favorite characters (along with Leafpool herself, Cinderpelt, Cinderheart, Briarlight, and Ivypool)... I don't know anymore...

I do agree that NightXCrow did not work out. Although I personally think Crow never really did care for Nightcloud or Breezepelt to begin with. (Therefore he probably wouldn't feel like he's "the best father ever" if he doesn't even want to be Breeze's father to begin with.) I feel like he was forced to take a mate in WindClan in order to show that he still has ties to WindClan and isn't looking for some she-cat from a different Clan. Yes, it's not the best way to show loyalty. I'm pretty sure he isn't completely forgiven by his Clan. However it does at least assure his Clan that he won't be breaking the Warrior Code further by mingling with outsiders. His statement to Hollyleaf is probably to show that he still needs to prove his loyalty to his Clan and therefore he needs to break ties with Leafpool and his children in ThunderClan to indicate that he's moved on and will from now on put WindClan first before everything else. He attacks Breezepelt in the battle against the Dark Forest because Breeze is aligned with the enemy's side and of course Crowfeather has to protect the Clans. Although it was probably a bit easier for him since he didn't care for Breezepelt anyways.

Crowfeather is not one of the cats I like in the series, especially since he turned cold and distant, but I'm only saying this because he probably has some reason behind his actions instead of being contradictory with every breath he takes. When you find yourself defending a fictional character you don't even care much for... gosh, looks like I'm deeper in the fandom than I thought.

I'd like to state my opinion on the way the quarter quell are set as different rounds compared to the normal rounds and the way they are separate:

I think this is quite broken. Firstly, in the actual books, the quarter quell is included as one of the main rounds, but fancier in a way of "celebrating" the hunger games for continuing for so long, which occurs after every 24 rounds, meaning round 25 is the more extreme round, that the capitol wants and the districts dread. This otherwise would not make sense if the qq wasn't included as a round and separate thing, as for example, the 75th hunger games is still a round, but also a quarter quell.

Secondly, the fact that it isn't included as part of the rounds breaks everything, as then every qq everything then has to be moved down by 1 round, which so far means 2 rounds back, so the rounds are mixed up now. you wouldn't make an anniversary of ten years ti be a separate thing and not include it from all the other anniversaries, meaning everything would be confused, because then the 10th anniversary is actually the 11th, do you see what i mean?

So to conclude, i think it would be much better for the rounds to be all included as one, be it quarter quell or not, it's still a round,
and excluding qqs from rounds moves everything back and the rounds aren't the number they are supposed to be.

(50th round has to be qq, because of the hg tradition, and removing it from being a round pretty much means qqs shouldn't exist at all as if they aren't really part of the games.)

ahhh, you're right. making them separate rounds was pretty dumb of me. ^^; i havent read the books in a few years now, so i guess i kinda forgot how QQ's worked??? looks like i gotta go and fix the round numbers then!
