I had my girl only on leash for a while before I purchased a bike attachment. Best thing I ever did, helps keep her at a slower pace with me and prevents her form going to far into the street away from me. Try the WalkyDogPlus! Attaches to under the seat.

Valkyrie likes to hold the leash tho, while we go around.

give him lots of loving! loud noises could really frighten, or even scar, a puppy if they aren't introduced to them gradually first.

maybe play with him for a while, take him on a walk (depending on how old he is) to let him calm down, and feed him some treats to let him know that all is good, all is well, and that he's a super puppy for dealing with those scary noises!

sometimes just spending time with your puppy can calm 'em down.

For fun.

Have you had dogs before? What breeds?
BBMs, GSDs, Aussies and Aussie mixes, and APBTs.

Are there any breeds that have already caught your eye? If so, why?
Doberman have caught my eye recently. My mom likes them a lot, and I think they're great dogs, although I need to do some research. I like that they don't seem to be overly social, with people or with dogs, but bond closely with their owners, and I like their size and look. APBTs also, because I have experience and knowledge on them, and regularly talk with breeders, but I'm not really looking for a Pit Bull.

How much time a day do you have to devote to training your dog?
All the time after I get home from school. I love training dogs and I'll devote any time I'm with them to working with them.

What kind of grooming needs are you prepared to handle?
Prefer not a lot of grooming.

What kind of energy level are you looking for?
More energy than JJ and Pete. Enough energy to go for plenty of runs, hikes, swims, and play lots of ball and frisbee.

What do you plan on doing with your dog?
We'll do a bit of travelling, but nothing crazy or extremely stressful, just roadtrips. Plenty of obedience, and they'll likely come with me into public a lot, as I bring the dogs everywhere.

What size dog are you wanting?
Medium- Large. 55-85 lbs.

What age dog are you looking for?
Any age. Preferably not under 6 months and not over 6 years.

What kind of livestyle do you live? (Active, couch potato etc)
Active, but I do enjoy lounging around.

Yeah, unfortunately there's no magic formula for calming down a dog. Just be with him, give him lots of love. If he's not interested in doing something active try just hanging out with him on the couch/bed/floor. Maybe pet him while you pretend to nap for a few minuntes, sometimes if dog sees you're relaxed it will help them relaxed.

You can also try offering some calming signals...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgnLgHFRJu4

Only thing I'd suggest is a harness, helps prevent neck damage if they pull. Also if they like to run infront, you could look up Bike Joring attachments! Cool stuff for sure!

Kes had a ton of fun at the expo yesterday! So much more fun to go with her best friend than dogs she's never met before haha. (I had a lot more fun too, got to look around more and even look at all the fancy cats!)

Pic is from our petsmart trip afterwards, I'll have to find the rest later lol

I'm proud of Chew too. My insane neighbor called AC on me today for being a 'animal abuser' and 'animal hoarder' so a officer came out, and since I have nothing to hide I allowed her to look at all the critters. Chew was kenneled of course, but he was really good when she came in! Barked a bit, but no lunging at the bars or anything. It was more of a excited bark than a reactive one! He's such a good mess of a dog lol

Hiya! Disappeared for a while after introducing myself but I'm back to actually talk about my dog Lol.

Saint and I have been exercising a lot more lately :)
he needs to lose some weight and I do too so I figured it'd be good for us both to stop being lazy and start running
We ran almost a full mile today!
Really looking forward to getting some weight off of him. He loves to run! ♥
