"River, if something bad happens, you're always welcome back home" Kaylee replied, before darting back to the fence. "Bye Meimei" she whispered as she watched her sister dissappear into the forest.

River didn't reply anything. she just waited 'til her sister was back on the garden fence to step into the forest, her new home.

Stormclaw followed. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

River looked back at the forest cat, eyes shining like stars.
"More than anything"

Stormclaw nodded and placed his tail lightly on River's flank.

Fireflypaw raced ahead, she needed to let the leader know about River.

River slowed her pace, as if savouring her last few pawsteps as a kittypet.
"I think i l-l-love you, Stormclaw" she said, stammering a little.

Stormclaw looked back, surprised. "What?"

River, just looked at her paws, embarrassed.
"Shouldn't have said anything," she said before racing off after Fireflypaw

"Wait, River!" Stormclaw yowled, racing after her.

River stopped, she wanted to hear what the warrior had to say.
inside, the little blue she-cat felt alone, scared, but determined that this is where she should be.

"I was just surprised that we felt the same way about each other." Stormclaw meowed, almost embarrassed.
