Physical Appearance:


A very large bird of prey that looks mostly like a cross between a hawk and a falcon. Its head is large, but narrow, with a big, strong, razor sharp hawk beak that is slightly long and slightly narrow. The head has a crest that sticks up and fans out when threatened; it looks like a philippine eagle's, mixed with a few peacock tail feathers. The hawk-like eyes are large and rounded. The falcon-like chest and the hawk-like back are broad. They have large, long, and narrow ( but not extremely so ) falcon wings. The legs are thick, muscular, and short, possessing huge talons with long and slender toes that have sharp, large, long, and narrow claws. There is feathering on the legs like some hawks have. The tail is medium length, and is like a peacock's; they are covered in eyespots, and stick up and fan out when threatened.



Weight range: 169 lbs. - 175 lbs.

Height range: 6ft. - 7ft.

Wingspan: 12ft.

( I'm not an expert on birds, so I dunno how well the weight, height, and wingspan goes together. It's a fantasy creature, so it doesn't have to be entirely based on logic, but I am curious as to whether that combo would work out or not; they are meant to be massive, extremely strong and swift birds. So if you know the logical way it could work, if that exists, then let me know. )





Feather colors are:

brown, silver, gray, black, red, blue, golden, golden brown, and/or orange

Flecks and/or spots are the same, with the addition of white; they can be iridescent.

Peacock feathers can have those colors, with the addition of green, white, yellow, pink, and/or purple; they can also be iridescent

Beaks and talons are always yellow with bluish-black ends, while the claws of the talons are always black.

Their habitats are:

mountains, valleys, forests, tundras, trees, hilly areas, on top of giant mushrooms, and cliffs near beaches


They are solitary, except when paired with a mate, or live in large colonies.


They are mostly carnivorous, but will occasionally eat nuts, berries, sunflower seeds, and raisins.



Diet:

rabbits, hares, marmots, squirrels, mule deer, white-tailed deer, fish ( shallow water only), sheep, goats, moose, caribou, crawfish, sea turtles, crabs, seals, nuts, berries, sunflower seeds, and raisins


Abilities:


They have excellent vision and hearing, but a poor sense of smell. Aside from being unable to smell well, they are also not very adept at swimming. They are silent and swift hunters that strike with deadly accuracy, and are capable of flying up to 80 mph. and diving up to 200mph. They are big and strong enough to carry up to 178lbs. on their back or in their talons. They are able to carry two large and/or heavy people or animals, or up to six very small and/or light-weighted people and/or animals on their broad backs. They are also capable of carrying one person or animal in each talon, regardless of size or weight. They can use their talons and beaks as 'hands'. The iridescence of their markings and peacock feathers, coupled with dancing and finishing with their aerial skills being tested, can assist in attracting and securing a mate.




Shicaunis and all of my creatures are as intelligent as humans, and have both human-like and animal-like qualities, such as facial expression, speech, morality, manner, etc. A couple even have plant-like qualities or are made of something else. They are capable of being and/or choosing anywhere on the scale of human-like and animal-like, but usually are a mix. They are both sentient and sapient, just like humans; they can become/choose/be forced into being feral, though, which is looked down upon/hated/feared because ferals are often violent and are hard to reason with/ understand, or control. This is not their natural state; they were not created/meant to be that way, just as humans weren't.

They don't typically wear clothing, as they don't need nor see the point in it. They see it as a hindrance to their natural abilities and in their environments. The most any will wear is accessories such as capes or jewelry. They usually live in nature or nature-based dwellings. Few live in buildings or use technology. They live on another planet in another solar system; humans are not native to there and do not live there.

Gypsy is smart and extremely fast. She has had an appalling start to life, and often thinks of herself as a demon. She is incredibly generous and generally able to put on a facade of happiness when she is depressed. She is also a social butterfly, knows all the right and wrong people. She is a traveller, wondering from one place to the next in search of her brother.

Character's name: Kokyu
Ref or description of character: a mainly black and white eastern dragon
Character's personality: Though still quite young, Kokyu acts older for the pure sake of respect. He doesn't really have many strong opinions on anything and seems overall to act very regal and was taught that everyone has different experiences that effect them differently- in short, he has an open mind. He is nearly always a bit eerily calm and calculating, but never actually strikes unless he has a real reason to. Kokyu is generally a very mysterious, stubborn, and blunt dragon, and also seems to be a bit gullible/too trusting at times. His history has also led him to be fiercely loyal to ones close to him, yet at the moment he has grown accustomed to being very independent. Kokyu also tends to be very quiet and isn't very quick to open up because he is either used to being alone or with humans, who were mostly speechless in the presence of a dragon [the traveler and people close to her are an exception].

Character's personality: Vyhl is an enigma. Not really understanding the concept of emotions, xey tend to try and mimic what xey see most often. Xey are very confident in xemself and tend to come across a bit arrogant and egotistical in result. But in unfamiliar situations and not having some sort of direction leads xem to feel vulnerable and anxious. Xey tend to be a little self-conscious when people stare or question things about xem that may seem "odd".

Character's species: Alien shapeshifter. Always takes the form of a fox.

Extra info: Xey can manipulate xir size and become taller or shorter at will. Xir eyes, paws, nose, inner ears, antennae and some markings on xir body glow when under stress.
