Oakheart settled in beside Willowsong, helping her groom the kits. "Are they all doing ok?" He asked her, looking back to the little one as he did. "I love all our kits Willowsong. Oh- and look! That kit looks almost exactly like you!" He purred, pointing his tail toward the bigger female kitten in the litter.

Willowsong gave a purr as her mate padded into the nursery."They're all doing fine."her gaze went back to the kits, but suddenly the smallest kit stopped moving. She gave the kit's head a quick lick, but she knew he was dead."Oakstorm..."her voice was full of sorrow.

Tigerstrike sat up from her spot beside Willowsong as the kit stopped moving. She closed her eyes before she touched her muzzle to Willowsong's shoulder. "I'm so sorry," she murmured.

Amberfrost sat up, tilting her head to one side. She frowned. "no, nothing's wrong, i just wanted you to wake up" she mewed, smiling at the end. She flicked her tail, giving out another yawn.

Willowsong looked at her sister' her eyes reflecting the pain and grief she now felt."He wasn't that old. I hadn't even given him a name yet."she looked back at the limp kit, touching her muzzle to his head.

"You know, I heard kits in StarClan grow to be wiser than every cat on the ground," Tigerstrike murmured, trying to comfort her sister. "If you ever see her, she'll be wiser than Sagestar!"

She lashed out with a forepaw her claws connecting with Hollypaw's muzzle. Crimson blood began to well at the wound. "You betrayed my trust once before Hollypaw. Do you know what else Six told me? After you told me you loved both me and Wolfgaze she said that she heard you say you only said you loved me to make me feel better." She took a step forward trapping him in the corner of the den. "Don't you ever call me your mate again! You mean nothing to me!" She snarled.
