Actually, I have a sort of really big list of possible fairly obscure clan suitable names, and Dino just said 4 of them (Wax, as in Waxwing, Chanterelle, as in faux chanterelle, Asphodel, the plant, and Fritillary, after various types of Northern English butterflies)! I really want to use Fritillary- at some point, because it's just adorable-sounding for a kit but still, Fritillaryclaw or Fritillarystorm still sounds fairly tough. I'm endorsing them for being unique there as well. But... Fritillary should be based off the dark green fritillary, which is gingery, the marsh fritillary, which would suit a chocolate tortoiseshell or the pearl-bordered fritllary, also ginger, so I don't think it works under traditional-ness (though outside traditional-ness, go for it, it's a great name). The other 3 definitely do, and imo they'd all be good choices.
I like most of Dino's suggestions~
I also have these! (with brief explanations for very weird and unusual names, which are all from wildlife that could, theoretically, be encountered in Cumbria (ie would fit with Gustclan)):
Pretty sure none of these have been used for a cream-coloured cat so far:
Bat, Crab, Dune, Match, Pentstemon, Plaice, Soldier,
(Match- and Soldier- both refer to Devil's Matchsticks/British Soldier fungi; I figured they were the best way to use its name.
(Dune- refers to the northern dune tiger beetle. I figured if we're going for specific beetles, beetle- is a pointless description, tiger- is already taken and in Gustclan north- would describe the northern brown argus butterfly, but that could also work)
Pretty sure none of these have been used for a light brown cat so far:
Cod, Crab, Logger, Noctule, Pipistrelle, Plaice, Purslane, Soprano, Teasel, Turtle, Whiting,
(Logger + Turtle = Loggerhead Turtle, Pipistrelle + Soprano = Soprano Pipistrelle)
Pretty sure none of these have been used for a generally pale cat so far:
Acacia, Anemone, Angelica, Arrow, Asphodel, Astrantia, Aven, Avocet, Balsam, Burnet, Candy, Camber, Campion, Caraway, Carrot, Catch, Chamomile, Chanterelle, Chervil, Cicely, Cornel, Corydalis, Cotton, Cuckoo, Currant, Dipper, Fennel, Float, Floating, Fumitory, Garlic, Hail, Hemlock, Kale, Knawel, Knot, Leek, Lichen, Lightning, Lobelia, Madder, Mullein, Naiad, Pansy, Parnassus, Pecker, Persicaria, Potato, Prim, Puff, Purity, Ramson, Rivulet, Rocket, Rough, Saffron, Sanicle, Saxifrage, Scaup, Schelly, Slender, Sole, Spindles, Spiraea, Spurrey, Squill, Squinancy, Steam, Stitch,Tuft, Vendace, Veined, Veronica, Violet,
(...explanations on request, they are all reasonable on the same line as the previous. All vegetables would have a wild- in front though.
(I totally get not wanting to use Angelica- or Veronica-, but that doesn't mean they're not technically valid, as they're both types of highland flowers, and they work pretty well for Skyclan (or ex-Skyclan cats trying to claim they have proper warrior names).)
I'm assuming they were a warrior on birth because otherwise you could have a lot of fun with suitable names specifically for having point? I doubt a typical queen would wait until point started to show to wait to name their kit, so something for being pale furred is good unless they used to be a loner, and then there's more options for fur-colour-based name choice.
I'm going to stop before I write a full on essay. Probably a good plan ;P

Oh! So... I've got a question for everyone who has read up to the Apprentice's Quest...
Who the heck is going to be Thunderclan's next leader, in your opinion?
I highly doubt Squirrelflight will outlive Bramblestar.
And I'm not liking any of the current candidates.
Imho, no current thunderclan cat is cut out for leadership, except m ayyyybbbeee Stormcloud... but even then.. eh?
When thunderclan first started in Into the Wild, there was so much potential, but now...
everyone got so lax during Firestar's leadership that no one's really.... ambitious anymore.
Except for Lionblaze [he would not make a good leader...], Ivypool [i dont see her as a leader or queen tbh.. she's just the awesome warrior to me] or Berrynose [oh goodness help us.]
