We got Lapras for the water event and I saw not one of them.

Well, I'm glad I checked the thread! hah.
We've been needing a store trip here at the house, and I convinced my mom to do it tonight so now I've got a few pokeballs for the event. ^^

I should be hatching a 5k egg tomorrow, so we'll see what I get. I'm still missing a lot from the 5k range; I hit a dry spell with them for a while, but seem to be getting back to them a bit.

I know this feel. Pretty much every gym around here is Instinct except the one down my street, but as far as I know I'm the only one that plays still. I just hit level 20, so I can't do anything to take down all the level ten gyms (except for the fact that I have over 100 revives oml)

My 5k gave me an Eevee, which is alright since I still need Espeon and Umbreon.
Also, Does cyndaquil show up in the nearby without it's fire? Because if so the game just taunted me with one.

Cyndaquil doesn't have its fire out in the game, unless you make it do its animations. Same with Quilava and Typhlosions, since Pokemon Go uses models very similar (or the same) to sixth gen models.

Hah I'd consider a vaporeon the opposite of luck...
Pretty sure I've got more vaporeons than all other eeveelutions combined. I did manage to finally get one of each (except unbreon, which is disappointingly weak /: ) over 2k.

Did you check your buddy distance?
Supposed to be 4 times faster.
