Say if a Roleplaying Moderator job opened up, would they be able to put in for a 'transfer'?

there have been times when staff have switched jobs, but I'd prefer people to not apply for this position if they'd rather be doing something different because we only hire global mods about once a year, it's not easy to fill the gaps if someone leaves the position

we will be opening apps for a RP mod very soon. If that's the job you want, keep an eye out for that announcement

(for other people reading my post, this is NOT a good time to ask me about RP mod applications. Wait for the topic to appear, it will have the info you need.)

Alright, thank you very much for answering my question. I'll pull my application for the Global Mod job, then. Since I'd rather be working in the RP Community more closely an I don't want to deprive anyone of a chance at a Global Mod position when they want it more. :3

APPLICATON
  1. What date did you register as a CS member?: May 23, 2010
  2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 6463
  3. Without posting your age On page 8, Tess herself says that it will be less likey, but I will say this. I do not mind the fact of mature content, as I probably see some every day due to my brothers.
  4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Every day
  5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? At least 2. But sometimes up to about 12. ><
  6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them Yes:
http://hungergamesorigins.proboards.com/ - I resigned due to the fact that I no longer liked the atmosphere.
    http://thewolvesrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi - Admin.
  7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? Well, I feel I want to give something in return for all the work everyone does on here. That, and I want to keep this place clean of spam. I hope that maybe one day I will be able to help a lot, and not just by being a minimod. :)
  8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) I am learning Spanish in school, but it is only my first year. >< I do well with standing up against peer pressure, and I am not biased in fights like most. I try to stay the peacemaker with every situation I've been in.

Tess, I have a question @_@
If it is a merged account, both members need to fit all criteria, not just one half of the account, and need to be appropriate for the job, but I'm sure they have a lesser chance of being chosen, correct?

1. What date did you register as a CS member?: Sat Jan 16, 2010.
2. How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 6786
3. Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:I am of age and willing to review such things.
4. How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Normally once a day, around 8 pm eastern US time.
5. How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Two to three hours at a time.
6. Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them. None.
7. Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? Being a moderator for CS would be an amazing experience in my opinion. I know from a few friends on the team that you normally deal with all kinds of situations, and I feel that those kinds of things would broaden my horizon. I love to deal with all kinds of people, no matter where they are from or what their beliefs are, and I believe that on the internet, on CS, is the best place to do that everyday. I also love to keep things organized and active, and always try to work things out and help folks if they need my help. I have done some not so pretty things in my past, but I have been turning a new leaf so to speak and am trying to help everyone I can, and I think that being a global moderator would only strengthen my conviction to do so.
8. Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I was a Peer Mediator in my High School, and I was also a Peer leader in the school as well. A peer leader was basically this: Me and a partner were to pick a total of fifteen freshmen during our senior year, and during a 30 minute period in the middle of the day, we all got together and taught them about the way the school worked, where the helpful places, such as guidance offices were at in the school, and be friends with them to make the shift into high school a less painful one. I also took psychology classes, and tend to take a step back and look at things before I respond to them.

{Jade will edit later with hers I believe. If that is okay :3}

Yes that's correct, both would need to apply, and both would need to be successful, and even then it's less likely for them to be hired because it's kind of a liability to have a shared account with moderator abilities (difficult to track down any actions made by that account)
