Birchstar's heart fell. Molapaw missing? "No," he said slowly, "no one took him out to my knowledge." Had the killer...no, they had exiled the killer. Or had they been wrong? So very wrong. "You and Ashblaze should look for him. He might have wandered off, especially if he was bored."

Minnowheart had just woke up. She looked out the den and saw Birchstar and Birchgaze talking She saw Birchgaze acting off, but she decided not to act. "It's best not to eavesdrop." She thought to herself.

Birchgaze nodded to Birchstar, heading outside of camp. "It's best that we look for him as soon as possible." Birchgaze mewed, waiting for Ashblaze to follow. Birchgaze could already smell Molapaw's scent, although it was faint. "His scent leads towards the Shadowclan border. Maybe that's where we should head?"

"Before we vote again, I’d like to call Violetkit forward,” Birchstar meowed. “This ceremony is way overdue for her,” he meowed, glancing down at the kit. “Until you receive your warrior name, you’ll be known as Violetpaw,” he meowed. “Ashblaze will be your mentor,” he murmured, smiling at the new mentor and apprentice pair. “And Ashblaze can you count the votes?” he asked, nodding for the clan to start calling out names.

Waiting, he whispered his vote to Ashblaze, eyes hardening as he heard the tally. “Coalface, I’m sorry but you are hereby exiled from RiverClan for the murder of Molapaw,” Birchstar called to his deputy, tail flicking.

Coalface glanced around surprised. “But I didn’t, that would put a threat against the clan and you know I hate threats to our clan,” she protested. Birchstar sighed, nodding for Burntstripe to escort the deputy out. “Next time we meet, no mercy!” she called back to the clan, as she was escorted out of the territory and Burntstripe returned.

“As we have lost our deputy, I say these words before StarClan so they can approve of my choice,” Birchstar meowed. “The next deputy of RiverClan will be Ashblaze,” he meowed, nodding at the warrior.

(Bad lost RiverClan, lost your deputy who was innocent. Violetkit is now an apprentice and Ashblaze is the new deputy.)

The murder smiled as the padded quietly over to the Elder’s den. “Hello Sweetnose,” they murmured, excitement in their voice. “Would you like to take a walk?” the killer asked, smiling as the young elder nodded. Leading the elder out, the murder knew why Sweetnose was retired early, due to his little disability, and was planning to use it against him.

Sweetnose glanced around, trying to keep the distress away and trying to not smell, which was almost impossible in the territory. Starting to get a headache, he turned to the murder, who had disappeared on him. “Where you go?” he asked, gasping as he was tackled. Trying to fight the murder, he gasped as the killer got the upper hand and killed him like prey.

“Sorry Sweetnose, StarClan told me to get rid of RiverClan,” the killer murmured, walking back to their den.

Ashblaze had been awake for a while. She hadn't expected to become deputy this early in her life and she intended to take her new duties seriously. She was one of the first to awake but didn't want to wake anyone else for patrol just yet, let them sleep off the horrors that had occurred over the past few weeks. Her gazed trailed to the freshkill pile, not much left, one plump fish stood out to her however. She walked over and picked it up, walking over to the elders den to give it to Sweetnose. However, upon entering the den she realised that he wasn't there. She walked back out and put the fish back on the freshkill pile and went to check the dirtplace. No sign. She padded back into the camp and looked around worriedly, with his condition she knew that Sweetnose shouldn't be out on his own for long.
